My dad was in hospice at Jefferson Barracks, in St. Louis, MO, for several weeks. It was such a special experience for him and for all of our family. We were blessed with Dr. Vogelsang and the wonderful loving staff in building 53. The amount of care and compassion that they gave him, was above and beyond any of our expectations. They were so kind and attentive to him and showed so much respect towards him. The doctors, nurses, aids and all staff of the hospital, were so compassionate and became very dear to our hearts. We were offered bereavement trays with fruit, snacks and drinks. Many stopped in to check on Dad and on us, offering to help in any way. Read moreThese people are life savers. Dr Schmidt was exceptional. The nursing staff was phenomenal; Rick, Becky, Wendy, Josh, Robin, and Carrie were particularly outstanding for my care. The Chaplain Steven and group leader Kitsey added to my recovery with amazing care and grace. To say they helped get me out of the darkest place I can think of is an understatement.
