Family Dollar — Local services in Oberlin

Never stocked, went there all the time anyway. So I was a little shocked to be accused of stealing when I took a lap around the store to see if they had anything I needed (they didn’t), went up to the counter to buy some smokes, the lady apparently saw my bag inflate? Saying my bag was flat when I walked in and now it’s not. Um listen lady, it’s just as flat as it ever was. No I’m not opening my bag for you, I have personal medical reasons for carrying my bag/purse with me that I’d rather not share with a complete stranger to satisfy their unwarranted accusation based off imaginary and invalid information. I’ll go next door. I couldn’t believe it, I go in there all the time. Never stolen a thing! I wanted to cry! I was left with the choice of either being embarrassed having to show inside my purse and prove an idiot wrong or just take the L and go next door to dg… 👋 bye.

I get it, times are tough. But you would think if it’s a customer who comes in pretty much every other couple of days, you would have something to back up your claim at the very least besides “your bag was flat when you came in”

They have two great associates though, the lady with style and one with grace (the younger girl).

Last thing, and I hate to say it but if the shoe fits- the manager with glasses needs training, lesson, briefing, or whatttttever on the company’s return policy., I won’t go into too much detail, but It’s been on more than one occasion she’s been incorrect and arrogant with myself and other customers about handling any and all returns. It’s honestly laughable because you go down the street to kinder or Oakdale and those managers know the policies. Poor girl. Skip...

Have a problem with the little red head lady management in Oblerin, with a smarter than thou altitude .she dose not want to help anyone but her. Friend or family .If u do not fall under her guidelines she treats you with no respect . She dose not need to be (Im my option) in management for that matter woking...
