A couple of weeks ago a storm rolled through and the farm lost power to one of their barns. We did not do any of the original work but we were called to assess why they had lost power. We were simply there to diagnosis and repair or quote what was needed. Avi was very rude to my employees when they explained what they had found. My employee said he'd send a quote for necessary repairs and he did. Avi accepted the quote and we returned to make repairs. Unfortunately, my employee, who has been with me for 4 years, didn't realize that there was no conduit in the ground to pull our new wire. We always install conduit and we accept that we made a mistake in not catching this. My employee called me to break the news. I talked him through on how to handle the matter and knowing Avi was not polite the first time, I told my employee to be respectful but not put up with a disrespectful customer. Immediately Avi was angry and started telling us about his "30 years of electrical engineering" and started telling us how to do our job. Avi threatened my employee with a bad Google review and "kicked him off" his property. Avi then called me. After hearing everything he had to say and knowing what had really transpired, at Avi's request, I still agreed to send another electrician out. When the conversation was over he changed his mind and wanted to hire someone else. No problem, until he continued to attack my business and employee. You would think an engineer with 30 years of experience could figure out his own issue, especially since he wanted to stand over our shoulder, but in my time I've come to expect nothing less from "college educated" people. You should be ashamed of yourself for living on a multi million dollar farm and bashing a...
