THIS IS MY REPLYā¦COULDNāT CREATE AN ACTUAL REPLY:
I have stated the problem through this forum (or on this form) and provided all the details then as well as on the Google review. You asked on your reply to my Google review to provide more details; however, I explained everything in my initial review. Since I live a little over 2 hours away from the store in Ocala, Florida, I decided to go ahead and pay to have the gate repairedā¦cost me $70 to have it repaired. I wanted to make sure it didnāt get any worse than what it was and cause more damage to the gate. Iām hoping Rural King will consider reimbursing the amount for the parts, labor, and travel to the guy making the repairs and possibly some reimbursement of the cost of the 2022 trailer at 2024 prices. NOTE: This is the second input to this website.
I purchased a 5.5 x 10 foot utility trailer in June 8, 2024. I am from Valdosta, Georgia, and was there to purchase a trailer to be able to purchase a golf cart to bring back to my home. I went to pick the trailer up on Sunday, June 9, and realized the title wasnāt signed and the receipt had the SKU for a totally different trailer. Since the receipt had a different SKU, I decided to get the trailer listed on the receipt and when checking the lights, one of the taillights had three screws missing from the lens and the bulb didnāt workā¦this was repaired. After waiting to get everything done, I went to pick up the golf cart and my son noticed that the welds on the gate mesh had several places that were broken. I took the trailer back by the store before heading home to see if they could do something about the problemā¦possibly swap another gate from another trailer. Roberta from the store seemed to insinuate that I broke the mesh because the cart was driven on it and said she would have to contact the manufacturer today, June 10, to see what they would do about the gate. I tried to call and speak to Roberta three times on the 10th and has to keep leaving a message for her to call me but she never called. To top this problem off, when registering the trailer with the tax assessors, they pointed out the trailer was a 2022 and not a 2024 as assumed. There was nothing indicating the year on the trailer and was definitely misleading because I thought I was buying a 2024; the 2022 trailer had a 2024 price and it being out in the weather for 2 years could have been the reason the welds broke. It would be nice if Rural King management would make this right by reimbursing a portion of the cost of the trailer. Iām having to pay out of my pocket to repair the gate because the store management will not return my callā¦also itās a 2-hour drive. Do the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'll start with the small stuff and work my way up. Right when you pull in you'll notice that the employee parking area is full of rusty and barely driveable vehicles that are dangerous for the road. If you have the eye for detail you.might notice the complete lack of most of the parking lot markings. A safety hazard in the dark as well as just an annoyance for customers and employees alike. You then move into the store and notice the popcorn that everyone loves, that's wonderful. Until you see the bags of up to 4 day old popcorn that are being sold for 5$ that they claim "helps with charity", which is code for a tax break/write off. They also sell 5 day old popcorn bags for a dollar, because even stale popcorn has to make them money. The staff while usually pretty nice to customers, can be quite unruley to new hires unless they are absolute yes men. They do offer a predatory credit card that has a 20-30% apr even with great credit, which is shamelessly pushed onto every single person they can talk to with the "script" which I'm not against a company script to make the process stay consistent. But man, it's like the script is more about trapping the desperate and the elderly into a credit card they can't afford. It has nothing to do with maintaining a fast or courteous process at checkout because good lord does it take them forever when they have to say a 3 minute speech to every customer or else they get "spoken to" by management. They claim that they are a Christian company but they seem to really hate the idea of tipping their employees. They think they "pay them enough" but if that were the case then I wouldn't see their 20+ year old cars falling apart in the parking lot would I? I'm all for a company setting it's own rules. But when you have people struggling to feed themselves because they lost a tire that week you simply are not paying them enough. Threatening to fire an employee for taking a sub 10$ tip is pure insanity. It is 2025 and people need every bit of help they can get, how about this Christian company practice a bit more grace and charity? That's what we would do up north anyways.
Folks can doubt me, but I'd rather have them just read the reviews on indeed left by countless employees. It's pathetic to see a company that claims Jesus to be this greedy.
Ps selling expired vet meds and expired food is not ok, it's going to make animals sick and it's disgusting to see my community...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwesome store. Love it. Been there quite a bit and no need for farm supplies either just love other things they offer. Mom uses it for her animal feed and the prices are right I think she thinks or she wouldn't go there right after Walmart lol. Their apparel is good. They even had scrubs on clearance for so cheap once. Tumblers cheap for doing epoxy crafts. Funs seasonal items always. They have grills, lawn stuff, and other fun things you wouldn't expect there either. It's not all farm supplies but yard and home too. Even food. Live animals in store which is cool and will thrill kids. Saw rare lavender chicks last week. The free popcorn is unlike anywhere else. The weapon, self defense, and home defense section and prices are amazing. Got my ex a Taurus 9mm new for under $300. Wow!!!! I really have no complaints. Oh and did I mention the free popcorn that is always nice when I stop before a meal and am hungry like this day with mom. Guess my only real complaint is if I go in before a meal and popcorn snack I don't always have a meal and loose weight. Oh wait nevermind, that's amazing too. Lol. Visit the store even if you don't own a farm. The experience alone is almost worth it just to look and browse and see baby chicks. You could also use the store as a homeschool option for introducing kids to agriculture and other science topics if you feel inclined. Could be a hands on learning experience plus a shopping trip. They also have a dry foods...
