11/17/22 - Susan, please tell us all what options and solutions were provided? I have turned over all correspondences to the state Attorney Generals office. Please refund my money. I never used your service and I notified you well in advance that services in citrus county was shut down so I would be unable to attend. You wanted to keep my money so you kept telling me to wait it out. Rainbow River says they would never force someone to pay when they have to cancel due to a natural disaster. Getting your friends to send me attacking messages will not stop me from reporting this theft to the public. You need to do the right thing Susan

ORIGINAL POST: I am very disappointed to give this review because I didn't even get to experience their services. When hurricane Ian came, Citrus County was shut down. I had previously registered and paid more than $1,000 for a retreat held at the Rainbow River. The week of Ian's arrival, I contacted Susan by email and phone to express concern about not receiving any correspondence from her about the status of this event. Susan told me not to worry because the event would go forward. By Wednesday, Citrus County had shut down with some parts being evacuated which meant I no longer had dog care as my last resource was evacuated. I contacted Susan via email to inform her that I had no choice but to cancel due to the hurricane. Susan told me there were no hurricane effects in the county where the event was being held so she would keep my money. I do intend to report this to the BBB, the Chamber and the Governor's office because this is improper during a natural disaster. When they all see her email responses they will know that this is not a center for healing and helping, it is a center for taking from others.

Please do protect yourselves and never pay with a check ... this was my mistake.

To Susan ... this wrongdoing is now following you. You know the right thing to do here and Rainbow River also knows. Stealing from the public during a natural disaster does not produce good karma and people will read this and know the truth. Do the right thing.

First and foremost I want to thank Susan Cohen and everyone involved at the retreat for helping Mom and I reconnect on a spiritual level. I was truly lost in the abyss of darkness for what seemed to be an infinite time without any senses to the one person who brought me into this universe. For some, just the thought of that, can be pretty detrimental to your mental health and your psyche, but unfortunately some of us don’t acknowledge this until it’s too late and we lost the most important person to us that was there all along. The Rainbow River retreat was full of guidance from Life Coaches and other professionals that took an individual approach to every single person and their desire to find themselves from within, and help them get rid of mental barriers that prevent them from becoming a better version of themselves. The amount of tools that you will get by the time that you complete retreat to keep working on yourself is beyond measure. What I really loved about being there is the authenticity of people around you that truly are there to help you reach your goals. By no means is this a brainwashing retreat or something that was designed or oriented around making money off of you by trying to sell you a product. You are there on your own time and do workshops and various exercises at your own pace and at your own will and liking. To sum this all up, this was a transformational experience for myself and my Mom. We came there to reconnect with one another and left with so much more, the underlying reasons of what led us to the disconnect in the first place, and finding our better true selves from within! The Healing Solutions Center is a place in Magic can happen. I met Susan Cohen, the owner, by chance while we were both shopping in Micanopy this year. Little did I know that she and her methodologies would offer me the catalyst for my complete healing and transformation on levels so deep that 50 years of in depth psychoanalysis could not alter. I’ve attended many of her healing sessions, Singing Bowls Meditation practices and simply walked in when she was free to offer life altering guidance. She uses many modalities to achieve healing including Reiki, Sound Healing, Singing Bowls, Meditation, Counseling and working with both individuals and couples.

Susan radiates confidence, compassion, understanding and love. She lovingly offers support, advice, makes healthy recommendations and a smile when you most need it. I would highly recommend her and her healing center to get through the process of healing all forms of trauma, abuse, substance addictions, grief counseling, bad parenting, self esteem issues, lack of confidence issues…anything troubling you at your core.
