I walked into the dollar general with my intentions being to get sparklers and 4 of July Apparel and I was some how stopped by that. I grabbed the sparklers from where they were and went to the cash register. But suddenly some old hag stopped me. I was very offended at how she told me I could not purchase the fireworks. She said “ ya can’t purchase them without an ID. You gotda Be 18.” I understand that I might have to be 18 to purchase the fireworks but I have purchased sparklers from the dollar general before. This is not the very first time she has tried me or my family’s existence my brother wants walked into the Dollar General and she racially profiled him because he look like another black person that had banned before. He really explained to him that he should not be in the store and told him to leave when I was with him and we were purchasing our items. Back to the fireworks thing I would have been OK if she would’ve easily told me in a genuine nice manner that I could not purchase them because I was not 18 but the attitude I received was unbearable disrespectful. Ever since the management change this store has gone down hill. Being the closest (mini) grocery store to everyone out here. My mother showed up at 8:30pm just to walk back to the truck because the doors are locked & realized that they don't close until 9pm, as soon as she saw employees walking outside she started to get out again then an employee motions they're closed. When my mom asked the same employee what time do rhey actually close she told hmy mom they close 10 mins until 9pm, at this point now it's 8:48pm.
