Griffin Furniture — Local services in Odum

I placed an order on Jan 15, 2021 for a hall tree.

It arrived on May 8, 2021 with significant damage.

Griffin Furniture agreed to replace the unit with one that wasn't damaged.

The 2nd unit arrived July 20, 2021. Unfortunately, it arrived with significant damage as well.

Initially I requested a refund after 6 months and 2 damaged units. Sam Griffin begged (Yes, said he was begging) me to let them try one last time and would even build a bigger unit at no additional charge. Then, in an about face, Sam said he wasn't confident they could deliver a unit that would not be damaged.

After requesting a refund for over a week, Griffin Furniture stated that would not provide a full refund and that I'd be responsible for Etsy Fees and Sales taxes. Why I would be responsible for those fees after 6 months and 2 failed attempts is silly.

They likely make good furniture, but, buyer beware if you're going to have them ship you furniture. And, the customer service if such a problem...

I ordered a California king bed from Griffin furniture- it is absolutely gorgeous ! Painted exactly how I ordered - unfortunately our bed is tempurepedic and larger base than a normal Cal king. Sam has been so gracious working with us on the exchange. In times where large companies don’t care - it’s heart warming to deal with a company that goes above and beyond for the consumer. This guy is the kindest person. They have the customer service of a family run business of yesteryear. If you are in the edge, make the order, you won’t be disappointed. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Griffin Furniture. From the very beginning, they were most helpful in working out the details of a customized hall tree for our entryway. They were very communicative about the build time and delivery process. It was a bit of a wait, which was expected and communicated at the very beginning. Upon receiving the cabinet, it was immediately evident that it was well worth the wait.
