Lake McConaughy — Local services in Ogallala

We were super excited for this lake. It's huge and beautiful. But the beaches are very inaccessible. That wouldn't be so bad. But what's the point of walking a quarter mile down there when every foot of shoreline is crowded with trucks and campers? I should've taken pics of that. Why isn't there a designated swimming beach?
