Northwest Cattle Feeders — Local services in Ogallala

Everyone is complaining about how bad it smelt driving down I80...how about how bad the conditions are for the cows held here. This is a feed lot and the last stop prior to death pretty much. Zero shade in 90 plus weather, never cleaned, the cows just stand around in their own slop and wait. Super sad 😔 and this company has been around and operating since the 1970's. Cows are not dumb, people just suck. You can have a successful business without being inhumane in the process. So as you hold your breaths driving down I80 think about how bad it is to be standing in that waste all day, in the heat, no clean water, nowhere even dry to stand. Its all about...

To even give this mud dumpster 1 star is unthinkable. The people who run this so called business, clearly are unashamed of how they treat cattle. Cattle are walking around in their own feces living to eat so that they can die… to be put on the plates of the American people. That shouldn’t leave a good taste in anyone’s mouth. There are some things in life that are between you and God, and this is one of them. Treat your animals how you want to be treated. Or in another lifetime, you will find yourself with your head stuck in a bin eating nasty food while your feet are covered in your and your neighbors poop. I’m praying for...

I have passed this place a few times on cross country trips, and like everyone else has said you smell it before you see it. It is absolutely repulsive and I am astounded that a place like this can exist in this day and age. This will cause me to be even more careful than I already am about where my meat comes from and ensuring it comes locally and from places with more humane practices. Not only is this tragic for the animals who lead miserable lives before they are slaughtered, but I can't imagine eating something that came from those conditions....
