Beautifully maintained northern Michigan golf course. Apparently, this course and others in their area are family owned, and it shows in the way they care for their greens, fairways, roofs, and sand traps. If I had any criticism, it would be aimed at the very limited menu for golfers have to turn. We played on a Thursday morning and we’re only able to get a hotdog and some chips. Perhaps it’s due to the time of year? Regardless, I highly recommend this course, and I definitely will be returning there with my son in laws in the future.
9/22/23 Update…. Friday AM golf. I didn’t care for the fellow that collected the greens fees today. Plus, Rangers seemed on edge. Also, no senior discount on Friday - Sunday. With so much competition in the area, $80 for a fairly slow round...
Read moreHands down, one of the better courses in northern Michigan for a fraction of the price. $80 mid week gets you phenomenal conditions. The grounds crew does an amazing job, it's evident on the fairways and greens. The bunker lips are edged perfectly. The greens were fast and firm. All around - amazing turf conditions. Beautiful layout, strategic bunkering, tough green complexes. Customer service is as friendly as I've seen at any course. Range balls included with tee time.
The carts are a little bit outdated but very fast and impeccably clean. BYOB - but coolers and ice machine is provided. Kind of a nice...
Read moreStopped in on our way back from the cottage for a walk-on twilight round. Starter got us out right away and the course was in fantastic shape. Greens were fast and true, fairways soft and lush. Overall, 10/10 for shape and design. Bunkers were really, really nice. Lots of sand and well raked. We hadn't played here in 10 years or so, and it was at least as good as we remembered, probably better. This course and it's sister course (The Nightmare) are "must play" courses in central Michigan. Bring your own beverages, the course is not licensed, but they will provide you with a cooler and ice...
