This meat market was okay. The prices in my opinion were high for meat that isn’t even local. They have to buy their meat elsewhere because they aren’t allowed to purchase meat from anyone who isn’t USDA CERTIFIED. Our purpose was to find meat from local farmers to give back to our community. Their prices were cheaper than some farmers we called. The chicken breasts didn’t taste any different than the store bought. We did buy some steaks but we haven’t tried them yet. It’s for a party this weekend. The lady was nice but if my husband wouldn’t have seen it she was about to charge us for an extra thing of steak that we didn’t even buy. My husband caught it after she finished ringing us up. They didn’t seem to have a large selection compared to other meat markets we’ve been to closer to Tulsa. I’m not sure that we would be back. But if you’ve never been there you should check them out.

Holy cow (no pun intended). I have lived in OKC for a little over 3 years now and have been searching for a local butcher shop that carries high quality steaks and meats. I have finally found what I've been looking for with Firebirds. They carry Wagyu brisket, Prime grade steaks, and an assortment of chicken and even some seafood. The guy working the counter (believe his name may have been Brad) was super helpful. I think their prices are fair for the quality of meat you are getting. If they keep this up they will keep my business. Also, they have new hours, which I will post in my photos below. Last thing, the door handle is a cleaver, which I thought was a nice touch. Bravo to the owners of this place you've knocked it out of the park.

The people here are so friendly and helpful. Went in the first time recently and got a filet, ribeye and NY strip as each of us has different preferences in steaks. The quality of their meat is phenomenal and all I had to put on my filet was salt & pepper for seasoning. Seared it in a cast iron and finished it off in the oven. Simply perfect and tender! We also tried the garlic and herb chicken which was amazing as well. The bacon wrapped asparagus was pretty spicy for me but still great quality and flavor. I will be continuing to go here each and every time I want a steak or just something with great quality. They even have sides and some produce as well!

I regularly buy steaks here, the quality of meat sold here far surpasses the supermarket meat counter. I have bought many filets, a few ribeyes, several NY strip steaks (including a wagyu ny strip) I can honestly say the steaks sold at Firebirds Meat Market are some of the best in the metro area. I have been to the others in OKC, Kamps and Wheelers, while they also have good meats Firebirds have them beat. Sure their prices are higher than the competition but you are paying for and receiving higher quality as well. The Wagyu NY strip was the best steak I have ever cooked. I have ordered the highest grade Japanese wagyu (A5 BMS 12) from sources I have, the waygu from firebirds was the perfect balance of nice beefy flavor and richness, whereas the Japanese A5 BMS 12 was way too rich for my liking and doesn't have the same flavor profile as American beef. 10/10 would recommend anyone who wants great steak to buy from Firebirds. The owners are...

Have you ever been to a great steakhouse and wondered, "where did they get this cut of meat?" Well it might've been Firebirds meat market!

I have found my new home as a carnivore! Elite level steaks at very reasonable prices and customer service that makes you feel like You're the most important person to ever come through the front door. The cowboy is huge and incredibly tasty. The boneless ribeye is like its little brother, but equally delicious! Check this place out as soon as you can if you're a meathead!

I know a lot of people are into Oklahoma beef only. Here's my take… I want the best steak. If it came from Oklahoma fantastic, but if it came from Jupiter that's fine too. Most local meat comes frozen, and I can tell this is a place that doesn't sell...
