Attended the "S'Mores Fest" on November 4th. I showed up with my service dog, clearly labeled (but not required via the ADA) with a service dog vest. A manager ran towards me and said that dogs weren't allowed. She was followed by a dog who was running full speed at us which crashed into me and my dog. The manager took the dog away and did not say anything nor return.
Luckily, some kind folks nearby offered help when they saw me and my dog were hurt. I was told the dog belonged to the owner. My dog has a puncture. I did not want to call the police because the people caused the issue, not the dog. Therefore I went to the building to get their dogs shot records and the manager showed them but didn't let me keep them. Then the owner arrived and didn't even talk to me. I asked for the records and he rolled his eyes, obviously disinterested that his dog just attacked another animal. He begrudgingly allowed me to take a photo of the records.
The entire staff didn't seem to care about the dangerous situation with their untrained, aggressive dog being loose on a commercial property. There were a LOT of small children on the property. There were no apologies, no concerns, and was overall pretty disappointing. Safety and understanding should matter. If it were a child instead of my dog, it would've been a big problem. In summation, they allow an unleashed dog to roam loose on the property and take no accountability for the...
Read moreRustic setting for relaxation. They serve wines in the pavilion, and frozen wine concoctions. The Saturday we were there they had an entertainer playing. It was a pleasant overcast afternoon and we sat outside. There are dogs that belong there and roam freely, but they are extremely well behaved. Don't bring your own dog, they ask. I'm only visiting, but it's a very relaxing place. We brought a board game and played. Family friendly venue for an informal time of rest.
UPDATE: Responding to the whiny complaint by the owner for only giving three stars: three stars means I liked it. I said what I said. You certainly didn't wow me with a customer friendly response to my review. Maybe that's indicative of only two stars.
There is one communal bathroom that we saw, an add-on to a building that had three unisex stalls and one common sink. I met a female customer as I exited, and she seemed a little leery with this setup. For the Fourth of July weekend, there was a featured frozen drink called a Bomb pop, with three flavors of frozen slushy--wild cherry, tropical punch, and blue berry. This made for a patriotic appearance, but the taste was less than dazzling. I understand part of the recipe is also Kool-Aid. There was one building that I didn't get to go into. At the door we were redirected to...
Read moreBeautiful setting, great live music. VERY stingy on tasting the wines. They have a rule that you are only allowed to sample one or two wines before you buy. We had never been there before and wanted to try several of the whites out before we made a decision. I told him we were going to buy a whole bottle and he very begrudgingly allowed us to taste a third wine. It was quite ridiculous. We ended up buying two bottles of wine. The second time we went to buy the bottle we asked to sample another one, and they were obviously unhappy about it. Spent $50 on wine and $20 on tickets. In my opinion, the whole point of going to a vineyard is that you are able to try the wines before you buy. Also, we had to buy seats for the concert and they had nobody walking around to check on you to see if you needed more wine, etc. In regards to the seating, they referred to their seating chart on Facebook and on their webpage, but we could never find it so we weren’t sure what seats we were buying in regards to the concert. It’s a great space, be less stingy with the wine tasting and take care of your patrons. I have driven by this Business probably 50 times and always wanted to stop. Finally did and was a little...
