I can't even fit all the wonderful things about my stay here in one review. We stayed in the Appalachian for my birthday (4 adults). The owner left flowers, champagne, fresh eggs, snacks, creamer, jelly, fresh baked bread, along with other amenities like comfortable linens, towels, bathrobes, firewood and fire starters and a lantern. You can bring a bag of clothes and everything is literally there. The Appalachian is great for couples or families. Two entrances for each floor offers some privacy. Both floors have bathrooms and separate heating and cooling. Things like the fridge, shower, kitchen, and hot tub are on the main floor but at night you can have some alone time. You can fish, take a boat out, walk trails, sit by an enormous fire pit or just chill on the back porch in a covered hot tub. You will not regret staying here! There is no phone service....my favorite part but there is an emergency number and the owners give out their cell phone #'s just in case.

Just fished our 2 night stay at the Flying Bridge cabin. Absolutely perfect for 2 people. LOVED being 100% disconnected from everything & everyone. Nothing but relaxation with an indoor crackling fire, birds chirping through the open windows, meals alfresco listening to the water running over the rocks and soaking in the hot tub. When it’s time to stretch your legs you can explore the historic property and hit some trails. Enjoyed the thoughtful touches of farm fresh eggs, homemade bread, butter, coffee, mini booze bottles, chocolates on our pillows, firewood, fully equipped kitchen, cabinets stocked with games, DVDs, books, and toiletries.

We stayed in the complete angler cabin and it was wonderful! Definitely plan on a vehicle that does well on rocks and hills to get to the cabin. Love the owner had fresh farm eggs and a loaf of bread and jam for us, as well champagne and chocolates and flowers for our anniversary stay. Decent stocked kitchen and toiletries, really just needed to bring clothes, dinner, and a few snacks. The cabin is kept well and so cozy. Hubby caught( and released) 3 large mouth bass in the pond behind us.

Please give this little hidden gem a chance! The pictures don’t even begin to do it justice! My honey and I stayed in “The Reach” cottage, and it was more than we could have ever asked for. After a crazy year we both needed to get away, and this was just the spot. The Reach is situated high up on the property, above all the other cottages. Each cottage is completely secluded with its own driveway, hot tub, and fireplace or wood burning stove. There are trails on the property, which we greatly enjoyed, and the stargazing at night is spectacular. Cathy and her family were absolutely wonderful hosts. We mentioned we were taking this trip shortly after our anniversary, and we arrived to find a bottle of champagne, chocolates, and roses waiting for us. Oh and they really do leave you farm fresh eggs, fresh baked bread, and plenty of chopped firewood as well! The kitchen has all the gadgets you’d need for basic meals, as well at a Keurig and a little stockpile of coffee and hot cocoa. This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had, and I nearly cried when it was time to leave. We are already planning our trip back. Location is great too, not too far at all from Black Mountain and Asheville, and a short ride from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This place is worth every single penny, don’t let the one or two negative reviews impact to your decision....

This place is in the middle of nowhere nice scenery and the cabins are nice. However the website listed that breakfast supplies were provided they were not and the owners didnt mention what time check out was... not that big of a deal but we were out of there just a hair late and they hit me with a $100.00 late check out fee. It would not have been a huge deal to get out of there by the time of 11 but not once was it mentioned to me. They said it is listed on the website and in the binder they place on the table in the cabin... well blame it on me I guess but i didnt read the binder line item for line item nor did i read the details on the website... cheap shady way of doing business... there are plenty of cabins to rent much closer to tourist attractions for equal or less money... Asheville is a solid 45 min away and the...
