On June 20, my husband and I had Nitelights of Cleveland install lighting in the front of our home. Todd told us that when they finished we would not be able to tell they were there, other than seeing the new lights. And he was right. On our first meeting we discussed the system and he had a quote for us in less than a day. The five man team arrived on time . Dan gave me the time to tell them a couple of things before they started. They got right to work answering my questions while I watched. They let me take pictures so that I know where the wire is in case I dig up a plant. I bought extra bags of mulch in case they needed it after digging and I still have the mulch unopened. Lol I was impressed with the installation of the voltage box inside of our garage and the wiring can not be seen going to the flagpole in the middle of the lawn. The lights are spaced perfectly and focus on the right areas of the house. So now I had to wait for nightfall to see our new lights. It felt like days! And, OMG!! They are beautiful. Our previous lights were too bright . The new lights are bright but a much softer lighting and it is just stunning. With the lights on the front of the house and the mushroom lights in the landscaping , it is so balanced and inviting. It has improved the esthetics of our home . I find myself walking the dog late at night just so I can admire them.
And then we received another bonus: We had just purchased the landscape lights in the front of the house two years ago and we were taking them out. So when they arrived, I asked Dan if he could dig a 30 foot trench so I could install the lighting from the front into the back landscaping. I had to leave the house and when I came back, the trench was dug and they used their underground wire and connected it to the voltage box. He then asked if I wanted it to go into our shed that had electricity instead of to the deck where it would sit outside in the weather. Dan mounted it in the shed without putting a hole into the siding! He had the crew space out the lights across the back property and direct wire them to the main wire . No more little clips that pierce the wire and corrode or pop open. Dan added a second wire so I could also add three spotlights I had. The additional cost was so reasonable , and the job was done professionally and we are overjoyed at that. Now we can enjoy the summer.
My husband and I have contracted work with over 8 companies in the last two years. This team is at the top of our list for the best. I really appreciated the team talking with me and explaining things . They did not play loud music, yell to one another , fool around, and I did not see any of them looking at their cell phones . I donât even know if they had any on them. That is a plus factor for my husband and I. It was nice to have a conversation with the young men while they were here. And at the end, they all said thank you. It doesnât get better than this. We highly recommend...
Read moreThis was an ideal experience from our point of view: The initial consultation was informative and professionally presented by the owner of the business. 2, The terms of the agreement were simple. No money was required from us until we were satisfied with the installation and all of its components. So we were at ZERO risk of paying for something we were not satisfied with. The installation team arrived on time, did the work required including a far more complex portion on our brick floored front porch than what they had anticipated, cleaned up completely, and explained the system and its operation to us. The owner came back a few nights later to do a several adjustments that only became visible in the dark. He was very accommodating and left us only after were were completely satisfied. The net result has been an incredible enhancement of the visual appearance of our house and yard after dark. In our opinion it looks beautiful. In fact we are so thrilled that we are going to add a couple more lights to give a complete job. Nightlights of Cleveland has been a pleasure to deal with. There is no pressure like we have felt with other home enhancement suppliers. They are fairly priced, and the "no money down" policy speaks volumes about the ethics of the owners of this company. They intend to do an excellent job and don't feel entitled to any compensation until they have brought the job to a satisfactory conclusion. If you are looking to enhance your home or business call Todd Moore and his team. You will be delighted that you did.
PostScript: 08.15.20 We liked the results so well that we had Todd come back and he added an additional up-light on a tree that we had not originally planned to light along with 4 path lights along a river-rock path that leads to the back of our house. Our next door neighbors liked the results at our house so well that they are having Nightlights install a system at their house in September, the first...
Read moreAbout 6 years ago they installed a new lighting system of about 20 outdoor LED landscape lights in front & a few years later additional lights in front & new ones in the back yard. As several lights stopped working I verified the bulbs were good, & called them requesting a service call & they said it would be 4-6 weeks. After waiting two months, I called them again, but same thing: he would come by in a few weeks but no call & no show.
Then 2 weeks later they phoned me that theyâll be at the house in 10 minutes, but I wasnât home so they left. No one ever called to explain the situation or to reschedule. So here I was a long-time repeat customer and despite having an unseasonably warm fall, after multiple texts and calls, an original estimate of 4-6 weeks, I had waited 4 months & still no estimate. They used to be reliable and came when they said and actually returned calls, but apparently thatâs asking too much now. I am very frustrated & disappointed.
UPDATE: A few weeks after I left the above review, they called to schedule a convenient time, and someone came out & diagnosed the issue. He explained that the cause of the delay was that they had been having trouble finding and keeping employees & it would be another 2-4 weeks for them to come out and make the repairs which was weather dependent as we were well into winter by then. The team eventually arrived, understood the repairs needed & got right to work and completed the necessary repairs. However, no discount was offered.
They are quite expensive, so they should have a better intake process and a way to track customer commitments & communications. I understand that stuff happens, but when a customerâs Initial estimate of 6 weeks turns in to over 5 months with multiple calls not returned & promises unfulfilled, such a lack of customer service to an existing customer should certainly...
