It’s the little Airport that can’t. Flat rate 24hour parking is about the lowest way to pinch a few bucks out of a customer who in the COVID era has no other reasonable alternatives. Say you decide to skip parking and rent a car, well they outta have connecting commuter flights to the rental counters it’s literally the furthest walking distance possible from the terminal. No relief in a straight shot either it’s a maze thru the terminal over a bridge around a corner up a ramp to a vast array of unstaffed counters, keep going and pray you stumble upon the correct escalator or face eternity In antiquated Willy Wonka elevators that go to one way doors. If you find a agent don’t be expecting anything near the class of car reserved. $300.00 deposit to fight fraud fight fraud how about renting cars & not collecting down payments. Dropping off a car is an uneasy experience leave it at that. So basically don’t expect small airport charm or convenience almost left out the $6.00 24oz fountain Coke. Warren would have a pulmonary event if charged these prices. Just take a bus out of Omaha to a decent facility. Update Fate has found me at the hell hole known as an airport once again. Construction in full swing adding much needed additional premium parking. Meanwhile at Terminal 1 10 gates share 1, One! set of restrooms Mens offering 8 standing w/4 sitting 4 Sinks complete the unit. I have no info on the Ladies room other than they are lining up to get in! Post terrorist removal dinning is keeping the hustle going 20oz Coke and Blueberry muffin $11.70 1 of each.

My family and I have flown out of several different airports and this was, by far, the worst experience. Short summary: miserable TSA checkpoint with rude TSA personnel and terrible design for strollers.

There are no special accommodations made for strollers/wheelchairs through TSA. Almost every other airport I've been through sends you to a dedicated line. Not so at OMA, but this wasn't my main issue. My wife and I have two kids (both under 3) and were using a double stroller. After making our way to the luggage/passenger scanners, I tried to flag a TSA agent to ask what to do with the stroller and kids. The agent (probably mid 50s with graying black hair and possibly a supervisor), looked right at me. I asked him what my wife and I should do, and the guy (who wasn't actively helping anyone) looked me in the face and walked away (not his problem , I guess). After flagging down another TSA agent (blonde, thin, short hair, middle age), we were told that one of us (me or my wife) has to walk through a metal detector with a toddler and an infant, while the other parent stays with our bags on the conveyor belt. We told him that one person cannot safely hold both a toddler and a crying 7 month old and get through. We needed to both go through, one person with each kid. The agent, in a very rude/dismissive manner, said "Can't she [the two year old] walk?". At this point, It's very crowded and there are passengers basically on top of one another, and the toddler is scared to walk on her own, which was (or should have been) evident to the agent when I set her down and she tried to climb right back up. The agent just stood there staring, offered no help and no solutions. Finally my wife (who was thoroughly disgusted with the agent at this point) took the kids and quickly shuffled through, pulling the toddler behind. We did NOT think it was safe, nor did we think that the agent approached the situation appropriately. Even in the busiest airports that we've been through with kids (LAX, ATL, etc), we've never encountered someone this rude and unhelpful.

Rental car pickup/return is fine, but the logistics to/from the terminal are ridiculous for anyone that needs an elevator and has bags (car seats in our case) that need to be checked. Here's how our return worked: drop off car on 1st floor of garage and take elevator up to get to airport catwalk. Enter airport on second floor, and take a second elevator down to the Delta counter. Check in, drop bags off and take the elevator for a 3rd time to get back to second floor. The elevators in the airport are slow, and there are only two of them, separated by about...

I have flown in and out of this airport very frequently, most of the time with no issues. I just want to mention I had a couple of awkward encounters at the TSA checkpoint (both at Concourse B).

The first one took place early morning of Nov 24th (the day after Thanksgiving), 2023. Since it was quite early, I did not have the energy to complain about this situation. A male TSA agent asked about a piece of garment underneath my top I was wearing. I was wearing a conservative blouse top but slightly sheer enough that I needed to wear a camisole to prevent see through. I have to admit that was my first time being asked such a question by a TSA agent, and am questioning myself about the appropriateness of such question.

Another recent encounter I had was on Thursday evening of February 8th. One of the female TSA agents had to pat me down after the XR machine saw something, which was likely the drawstrings hanging from my sweatpant waist down to the groin area. I have to note that this TSA agent kept on touching my private area numerous times, as in these were not gentle patdowns. And she kept on asking me to extend my legs wide when I felt very uncomfortable having her aggressively touch my private parts. I've had patdowns in that area by other agents in the past, but I've had no issues with those experiences. It was probably a good thing I did not want to have the patdown in a more secluded area, just so that others could see how aggressive she was. I would suggest others to do the same, to have this done in public if possible so that you may have witnesses.

To make this clear, I am fully in support of doing whatever I can so that all of us can feel safe when flying or transiting through the airport. Sometimes I feel that TSA agents have crossed...

Every time I’m in this airport I always have the worst experiences. If you’re flying at night, don’t bother. There will be no one at tsa or the kiosks to help you and you’re on your own. Need a wheelchair? Let’s hope someone can bring you one since they seem to be lacking in that area as well. A lot of elderly I’ve seen having to rough it because no one ever showed up with a wheelchair. You only have like 5 gates so not sure what the issue is. Coming from Phoenix is night and day. No one greets you here or anywhere in Omaha. You would think with such a small airport they would be able to run it better but don’t hope too much. Traveling with a kid? Expect them to not let you take a luggage cart to carry your things. Expect to carry everything through tsa as well as your kid. They’ll dump your water as well even if it does say on their website that kids can have water especially under 2, so expect to buy some on the other side. Only this airport will go out of their way to NOT help. Try to ask someone a question about anything? Good luck if you can find someone and even more good luck getting someone who knows what they’re talking about. They have the longest passenger boarding bridge ever. Expect to walk through hallways trying to get on and off the plane wondering when you’ll reach the last hallway. The people working the desks at the gate will also treat you terribly and will look down on you for asking a question. If you’re military also expect them to ignore all their military policies so don’t expect priority seating or an overweight bag. I’ve been to this airport about 10 times and it will always be hands down the worst airport I’ve ever been in from customer service to tsa to...
