Family Fare Supermarket — Local services in Omaha

It is actually a pretty good supermarket. You can find just about everything you need in a supermarket. The selection of wine and alcohol was pretty good too. Although I dislike the fact that one has to use a membership card to get discount, but since membership card is available to everyone for free, you might as well get one. So in the end, it makes no difference whatsoever. So you only get the illusion of getting a discount for being a member, but since everybody is a member, everybody's getting a discount. I don't know why Supermarket still use that strategy as it really benefits nobody.

Anyway, the quality of the produce was fresh, and the quality of the meat was very good too. Everything else that is packaged in a can or in a box is a standard quality that you can find anywhere else. So there's not a lot to be said...

10-star deli for sure. Great salads, sides and best store-bought fried chicken in Omaha. Pretty decent selection of wine, beer and spirits.Produce section is well kept and fresh and all the people are friendly. The only downside t this store is the meat and fish department. I've bought whole loins and asked them to cut into steaks. I usually ask for 1.25" steaks when I do this. HyVee, Bakers and Fareway always get it right but here—here I have gotten back a package with a range of sizes from the same loin where some are 3" some 1", some .5" on one side and 2" on the other like they hung the loin from the back wall and threw a cleaver at it. Happened twice and will not buy meat from there again. Because of the meat department I'd give 3.5 stars...

This Family Fare ( used to be called No Frills) is very clean and well maintained, never had any issues with the staff. Recently there have been many changes to this No Frills, such as a way better beer/wine/hard liquor selection, a brand new point of sale system that supports both Apple Pay, Google Wallet now and EMV cards in the near future. These changes have made this an even better place to stop at. Heck they even have brand new self checkout machines and are in the process of putting a Starbucks in this one! No other No Frills has self checkout machines that I know of or Starbucks inside it. This place sure can get busy and I can see why, I will stop in when I can for sure. But the prices are indeed high, so I'd only go for booze or...
