I went with a horticulture professional and he was generally impressed with the gardens. He noted that one of the trees outside of the rose garden didn't appear to be properly managed, with the mulch piled up too high around the base of the tree.

From an amateur perspective, it was a wonderful experience and I was able to learn quite a bit from the informational signs. For example, the tea rose is the standard rose used in flower arrangements, and is cultivated to have long stems and full petal displays.

The $5 train ride was reasonably informative, and was nice to provide an overview of the park. We decided to hop off at the rose garden and then visited some highlights before...

I love both inside and outside gardens. Great place to walk with differing paths and themes. Also unique is a wooden multilevel miniature train village that has been integrated into the landscape. Also a concert lawn just behind main building. All types of gardens. Herb garden, rose garden, oriental, prairie, water features, etc. Plenty of beautiful scenery and large enough to get...

World class botanical gardens with lots of community involvement and accessibility.

They offer events and even classes on a wide variety of topics even indirectly related to nature and gardening.

Had an amazing experience my children and I was blown away a at talk the flowers and sculptures absolutely beautiful. They do allow you to bring drinks in but NO food ! The gift shop is super cute lots of stuff and they are adding in new spots to walk.

Beautiful garden and orchids, and wonderful glass statues exhibit until May. My favorite is a Glass Goblin by a waterfall in the greenhouse. Love cards, ceramics, garden decorations at the gift store.
