Oppelo Self-Storage — Local services in Oppelo

This is not the Oppelo self-storage in the picture. In the picture is the Oppelo Flea Market and it is amazing. Folks will bring in their goods they have no use for or just want rid of or whatever. There are some really good treasures in the market you , fishing gear, too much to list. There is absolutely no telling hat you will find in there. Small children o have to stay with parents and cannot play with the toys. Also you have to leave bags, purses and so forth in your vehicle. Too much theft going. They have camera all over the inside the building. There is an upstairs the stairs are steep there is a treaded rubber runner on them for traction. I would definitely recommend a look around if you are passing through the area or just have a day off. I will also say it is hit or miss but sometimes the front is pretty full of cars, not to worry there is more parking down the right side of building. Lots of stuff to look at and purchase! Enjoyed it until ready to check out. Older lady is very friendly but lady with the ponytail and long hair is very rude. After she had put some of my things in a basket I had purchased, I asked if I could slide it all in a bag. I didn’t need it individually wrapped or anything and I was going to slide it in the bag myself. She said “well if I had known that I would have done it way different. Most people who come in here don’t care”. I told her I didn’t mean to be a problem. She started taking everything back out of my wicker basket and putting it individually in the bags. I told her it wasn’t necessary that I just wanted to slide the whole thing in the bag and she started basically sliding my glass jars across the counter as she was taking the stickers off and they were bumping into each other. When she handed me the receipt I told her thank you and she never looked up. Then I told her to have a nice day and again - nothing. It just put a damper on our whole...

Upon entering @4:30 we were told closing time was five, that we had 15 min to do what we were there to do. Five minutes into looking around this lady tells us to head to the front for check out. I proceeded to tell her we were told closing is at 5. She then stated that employees don't get paid past 5 and that construction workers were in the back working. Blocked us from going any further back into the building. This is all more than 20 minutes before close time. Very discouraged to shop here ever again. I was only in town visiting family for the evening. Have I known the employees were hateful and rude I wouldn't have ended my evening booth browsing/shopping. Her attitude with the tone she had could have been altered before...
