THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PRICING AND KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT My wedding reception was scheduled there for over a year and upon checking in two weeks earlier they had said that the place had changed hands and they saw our names in the book but just assumed we canceled. No one bothered to call. After so much scrambling I was able to get a hold of the new owners/ maybe just people who run it but she did find our names and agreed to let us move on with the reception even though they had half the carpet ripped up getting ready to do renovations. I also had to pay the rental and deposit again since they “lost” it. The place was extremely dirty and myself and my wedding party had to clean before. Also after the reception I (the bride) personally cleaned everything along with a lot of help. The place was much cleaner than when we got there! Upon leaving to go back over there the next day to return the key Julie Heitzman pulled up in my driveway giving me a very bad attitude over the front porch light being on. I always leave a front porch light on at night! She the proceeds to tell me that a picnic table was moved and so they were unable to return our deposit. Pretty sad both my parents are deceased and we had to pay for everything ourselves and in the first few hours of our precious marriage we have some crazy person show up at our house with a bad attitude hell bent on taking advantage of people. Nice place for small events. Didn't see a handicapped entrance which eliminates some people. If there is such an entrance there...
