Love this winery! As a member of Harvest Host, we stayed the night in our motorhome overlooking the South Umpqua River. Freed Estate Vineyards grow the grapes that produce their wines. I tasted noteworthy vintages from 2014, 2016 and 2018 with my favorite from their 2018 crops. For my palate it was a fabulous year for many of their wines. However, their newly released 2016 Tempranillo is exceptional. It is a family run estate and my list of favorable adjectives to describe this family is lengthy. I found our wine expert, Brian, to be extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and a pleasure to talk with. I was lucky to meet a few of his family, as well. If you get the opportunity, buy a bottle of wine and sit along the river.

What a delightful winery. Usually there are wines we like and a few we don't. Every wine was good, so that makes it hard to decide what to purchase...Brian Freed the General Manager was a great host and very informative. 5 tastes for $10 or all 9 for $15. Tastes are free if you buy 2 bottles ..but you probably will have a hard time choosing just 2. If you are a member of Harvest Host the camp spots are right along the South Umpqua River. Nice gift shop with local artist crafts.

What a fun evening with 4 harvest host couples. Wine tastings were generous, hosts super friendly and a nice variety of wines. We bought the Tempranillo. They also had crafts & art for sale as well as some nice mustard & fresh eggs of all colors. They allow multiple Harvest Host rigs to park around the vineyard with some nice spots along the river. In summer you can repair to the cook shack on the river and carry on thru the evening. Beautiful spot! We’ll be back!

My boyfriend and I moved to the area recently and have been wanting to find some nice places. The wines here are very good, but I think what made it even better was our wine expert Maggie. Maggie was so informative, has such a wonderful and bubbly personality. She even gave recommendations on restaurants in the area which we are so excited to try. Even had the opportunity to meet and chat with the owner Pam! We left with 2 bottles of wine we decided to purchase (which by the way, the red blend with a t-bone is beyond words). Thank you so so much for making us feel so welcomed and for giving us a...

We are members of Harvest Host a community of RV traveling enthusiasts who stay overnight at participating wineries , breweries, and farms. We made plans to stay at Freed Vineyards on our way to Crater Lake. A mechanical issue with our Rv forced us to arrange for repairs altering our HH plans

Mike, of Freed Vineyards was so gracious and accommodating. He called and followed up multiple times. We regret that our original travel itinerary was disrupted. My thanks to Mike and Freed...
