I truly don’t know where to begin about my experience with Chef Andrej of Cape Cod Private Dinners! Our wedding was 9/22/18 and we hired Chef for our backyard “I Do BBQ”. The home we rented for the weekend promised a working grill so Chef could grill our chicken, and skirt steak, as well as a large, rustic oven for our use as well. Everything failed on us! Finally with the assistance of my guests, we were able to use the grill; no such luck with the oven. Chef Andrej went above and beyond to the point where I did not even know about this until after the wedding... he went to the neighbor’s house seeking help in using their oven to save our wedding meal! He even made a plate for them as a thank you on our behalf. Leading up to the wedding he was an absolute pleasure to work with, I never doubted my decision for a second. He was so personable, accommodating, creative, and prompt. The food, despite all of the obstacles in Chef’s way was absolutely amazing! I feel inclined to mention, I went into this agreement with Chef Andrej completely blind. We live 2.5 hours from the Cape, never made any tasting appointments, and solely went into this business relationship off their reviews alone. To this day my guests are still talking about it and many have asked for his information to hire him for their events, or to share with their friends on the Cape. The meats were cooked to perfection, the vegetables were fresh, and the mashed potatoes were authentic and creamy. Chef Andrej was accompanied by two waitresses to pass hors d’oeuvres. Both women were so warm and thoughtful. We planned to initiate them passing while the bridal party took our formal photos. Despite the bridal party having been off in our own little area taking photos, the waitresses did not skip a beat in making sure we enjoyed the hors d’oeuvres too! Especially when the bridal party was set free and my wife and I were left still taking our photos, they took note of our favorites of the four hors d’oeuvres and continued to check on us and make sure we were eating! We just hired Andrej to make dinner for our family on the Cape for my mother in law's 70th birthday. To start off, Andrej was incredibly responsive via email, I think he responded to me on a Sunday! From there, he was professional and laid back, offering an amazing menu with a lot of variety. He arrived on time, to the minute, and he was incredibly unpretentious and kind. The waitress for the evening, Veronica, was extremely attentive and thoughtful. For our meal, I chose the crab cakes, roasted duck and chicken thigh tacos as hors d'oeuvres. Next, the goat cheese salad for an appetizer, the beef tenderloin for main course and the pear tart for dessert. Every single thing was wildly delicious. I love to cook and find that I am often disappointed by restaurants but this meal was perfect from first bite to last bite (or last sip I should say, I literally drank the sauce like a cave-girl). Every ingredient was super fresh and added to the dish. The chicken thigh tacos stood out to me because they were a symphony of rustic flavor paired with a bold freshness of wonderful veggies. We didn't even need knives to cut through the tenderloin, it was so juicy and tender. The dessert might have been the best I've ever had in my life. I wish I could swim in the sauce. It was a rich caramel that Andrej patiently allowed to do it's thing up until JUST before it could have burned... giving it the most robust and rich flavor. It was stupendous. Throughout the meal, Andrej was very focused on getting the food right, and then once the meal was over, he was great to chat with.. what a perfect combination for someone coming into your house to make a meal! Andrej and his team catered our micro wedding on Cape Cod in August 2020. The food, drink, and service exceeded our expectations! We met with Andrej two months prior to the event and finalized the menu. There were so many amazing menu options to choose from and Andrej was able to adjust based on allergies and aversions within our small group. My husband really loves brownie sundaes, and Andrej was willing to make that happen, even though it was outside of his normal menu options. We were particularly impressed with how knowledgable Andrej was with COVID-19 safe options for serving food - he was very ahead of the curve in this regard!

The day of the wedding, Andre and his team were incredibly professional. They arrived on time and got to work in the kitchen. The appetizers were amazing, including a raw bar. The bartender was very friendly and responsive and able to make the signature cocktail and a range of other drinks. The meal itself was amazing - so, so delicious! We had beef tenderloin and swordfish as our two meal options, and started with a wonderful, fresh, seasonal salad and warm bread and butter. The dishes were truly incredible and everyone loved their meal!

The service from Andrej and his staff was top notch - from start to finish, including leaving the kitchen spotless and making sure rental dinnerware was ready to return.
