We're new to the Tucson area. The spectacular view from the very attractive outdoor seating area in the evening, while having dinner with friends for the first time here actually startled us at first.
Setting is superb. We chose to be seated outdoors and the misters kept us quite comfortable after a very hot day. Saw several deer in the mountains across from the golf course fairway, close enough to see their features clearly. Really stunning view, breathtaking in fact. I found myself starring, looking for other wildlife. Pictures can't do the setting justice!
Food and service were both excellent, and prices were surprisingly low. Complete and tasty dinner for two, with bottle wine and desert for 60 dollars. That's with a 11 dollar tip. The out of the way location explains in part what a bargain this is I guess.
We plan to come back...
Read morealmost 6 hours for a round, stay away! The 'ranger' on course would not ask a slow foursome to speed up or let faster groups through because they were 'members'. Blamed the slow play on paying guests which was not the case at all. They do not want paying non-members apparently and their members who were also slowed by this foursome apparently don't count either. Not sure why this extremely slow play is tolerated and then they delay everyone else behind them up to 30 players. Many groups could not finish!!! Too bad this course was great shape but I won't PAY for this...

It was impossible to cut them into bite-sized portions with a dinner knife. The side of spinach risotto was also a disappointment. It was not creamy and the spinach was overcooked. The setting of The Preserve Restaurant is beautiful; unfortunately the quality of food did not live up to my...
