I purchased a meat pack and brought it straight home and stored it all in my freezer. Five days after purchase i pull out a package of country style ribs to cook for dinner and it smelled like rotten flesh and immediately stinks my kitchen up like i have roadkill on my kitchen floor. So i immediately run it out to the dumpster and toss it. Call the place to see about changing out the remainder pork i have for something else before wasting my gas to go there personally because my wife and i were no longer comfortable feeding our family any of the pork that we had purchased in the package. The lady that answers begins with im not going to argue with you but pork does have a funny smell sometimes and do you have it to bring in to show my boss. Note this happened the whole night before so why on earth would i keep this meat that does not only have a funny smell but smells like roadkill literally. I proceed to ask her if my issue can be resolved and her response was my boss isnt here at the moment and to come at a later date when her boss is present. Ultimately this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth i discarded the meat and just took it as a loss and i will no longer be doing business with...

Update: Yummy pickles!! Don't miss this when you get your BBQ meat. Who knew pickles could be this good, I had to come back just for more.

We are new to Oroville, but have found meat euphoria. I have been able to try cuts of meat I was unfamiliar with in my long love affair with beef. The staff is very helpful with cooking tips. They are also professional and courteous. The sausage is amazing. I would like to purchase one of the variety packages, but do not have storage space. I look forward to a visit tomorrow. Porterhouse. It was so nice outside and clean, the meat selection was great and local proprietor items sold there were great. Only gave four instead of 5 because of the service. I was greated right away but when I needed a moment to look then tried to get someone's attention they would wonder off then come back . Granted it was close to closing but there were plenty of workers already doing tasks and it seemed the girl up front wasn't aware customers were ready and would buy multiple items from the two fridges. The Mike's Smoked Cheese was deeply smokey but addictive and the strawberry shortcake was so yummy once at room temp. I got several of the pre-marinated chicken and deli meat but my husband said the deli meat tasted slimy and old (it was the last chunk of the hickory turkey so not sure if that was it). Think I will just order from there large pkg offers of a variety of meats next time. And I will give it another go and try going in...
