This store has a very nice selection of furniture and can custom order most-anything you could think of. They also respond to customer's questions fairly quickly online. So what's the problem? All-over their website and emails they offer a 105% Price Guarantee on Apple-to-Apples items. After Jake's gave me a quote, I came across another location selling the "exact same" products for quite a bit less. Since I had talked to Jake's first, and they offered the Guarantee...I contacted Jake's with this information; to which they asked for the other shop's information (which I provided). To "verify" my prices, they called the other shop! Due to the extent of customization I was requesting, the other shop knew right away what was going on and would not verify the prices as being accurate. Because of this, Jake's would not honor their highly-touted "Price Guarantee". I ended up buying from the other shop at the exact prices I had provided to Jake's. Upon doing so, I even sent my finalized-invoice paperwork to Jake's so they could see that I was not lying about the prices. They never responded to me again. I feel that when you offer a Price Guarantee, you need to stand by it. You need to have a method of verification that can be successful, yet not make the customer feel like you are calling them a liar. I was buying $5000+ in dining room furniture, and I have a living room, family room, and 3 bedrooms to outfit still. Jake's lost my business on this order and on future orders because they wouldn't trust me (the customer) over one of their competitors. With that being said, I would encourage others to shop-around first...and find your best price. But when you find it, just buy from that store...Jake's won't honor their "Guarantee"...and that's not a business you...

Purchased a rough cherry kitchen island with a rock maple top in 2018. The island was exactly what I was looking for but the overhang and open end were backwards. Jake was able to order it flipped front to back and side to side. Perfect!

Followed that up with a office desk and Jefferson chair also made of rough cherry.

The office desk has a false set of drawers on the right hand side for a CPU. As delivered the desk just not quite deep enough to accommodate the CPU and cables but I purchased the back side of the desk unfinished (not cherry) so I was able make a few simple cuts and was good to go.

The chair is fantastic and thanks to the pandemic and me permanently working from home it gets used every day. The material is synthetic and really holds up well.

I think this is my second time posting an online review in a decade. I had an honestly genuine experience picking up a bookcase from here today with Jake, Michaele, and the rest of the staff!

The storefront has a healthy amount of IN-STOCK furniture that you can take away the same day. Most places around have a showroom-only with anywhere from a 14 week to 9 month wait time on pieces; I know that's the standard for hand-made furniture, but it deserves special mention that you can pick up something same-day here.

Jake himself is very pleasant and informed. I had an enlightening conversation with him while browsing the rest of the shop.
