We chose this company to cater our party for 150 people based on the reviews online and a 10 minute phone conversation with Toby, the owner and chef. The confidence expressed in his companies service and product was amazing and as we found out later, very well-founded. This was definitely a selling feature for us. Another important point is that they are 100% self sustaining throughout the event. They bring everything, set up everything and clean up everything that is related to whatever you order which allows the host to focus on the party and other issues. On the day of the event, they were prompt on arrival, set up the equipment and support gear, and got to work making the incredible food. The results were an absolutely amazing presentation of delicious food. Our guest were very complimentary and fully satisfied with all aspects of the catering. The menu is extensive offering many choices and is flexible to whatever budget you may have. We chose smoked chicken, pulled pork, salad, macaroni, beans, rolls and it was all excellent in both quality and quantity. I have nothing but the absolute BEST things to say about Smoke Down BBQ!! Not only are they a professionally-run business by a kind and pleasant couple, but they are timely and deliver superior service. At my recent business launch event party, they showed up at the time expected and were very pleasant with my on-site team. There were a lot of moving pieces on the day of my event, so it was nice to know that I was able to count on Smoke Down to deliver as promised! The pulled pork sliders were a HIT and the macaroni and cheese was AH-MAZING (its one of my favorites from Smoke Down). To top it all off, I have to applaud this business for their sponsorship! Smoked Down BBQ catered our wedding dinner over Labor Day weekend this year. Toby was very attentive and accommodating to make sure we had everything settled before the big day. All questions were answered timely and adjustments to our total numbers of guests caused no issues. Day of the wedding, Toby was on time and had all food prepared and set up for dinner.

The quality of the food was FANTASTIC. The brisket, chicken, and pork were amazing. Chicken fell off the bone, brisket was tender and flavorful, and pork was outstanding. BBQ sauce was great as well. We had 150 guests and I didn’t hear a single person say they had a problem with anything.

It was a great experience and added a great touch to our wedding day....
