Dollar General — Local services in Oskaloosa

My elderly father has respiratory issues and I help him a lot with shopping. He asked me to go to Dollar General today with him because he got an ad in the paper with a bunch of sales going on at Dollar General. We get our stuff and get to the counter and rang up only to find out you have to be a member and have a “digital coupon” . Which to me is absolutely absurd. My father is 69 years old and still uses a flip phone. He doesn’t get internet so not way for him to be a member and bring a stupid “digital coupon” The only things y’all are going to do is push out the elderly people. I went home and looked at the ad he saw and of course the “digital coupon” disclosure is unclear and small writing. How many other poor elderly people make their way up there to get stuff and get screwed over because they thought they were getting a deal but instead paid regular price. Won’t be going back. Neither will my parents. ...

This store is dirty, product everywhere, and management is lacking. Most, if not all, of the best employees are gone, in no small part due to how DG operates. I strongly suggest shopping elsewhere. Better yet, just avoid Dollar...
