This place used to be good for bait, however lately they've been closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I stopped by today which is a Thursday and they had no bait. When I asked the lady why, she said no one was here the day before, so they didn't place the order. Absolutely wasted my time driving over here to get bait. I get closing your doors for Tuesdays and Wednesdays because you're slow, but just because your closed, doesn't mean you just stop placing your orders. If you're driving down Rt 19/98 South of Chiefland, Fl, you will come upon a little town called Otter Creek. If you blink, you will miss it. But you need to make a stop at Hershel's Quick Stop for their BLT. They also have hamburgers and bbq and other fresh to order items. It's a bait/ hunting/ convience/ country store. They have a large assortment of jellies, jams, pickles, bbq sauce, and fun named seasonings. I bought some for my son's birthday, and he will get a kick of the names. We enjoyed this little stop where we stocked up on canned treats like rhubarb jam, pecan apple butter, & blueberry honey. They had pickled "everything," and the something in the kitchen smelled fantastic, though we were full & didnt order. I only gave 4 stars because the 1st time we stopped the cashier was on the phone the entire time, and appeared inconvenienced by a question I had.
