My wife and I are both avid bowlers and frequently bowl at BA Lanes and Riverlanes/Andy B's (league, etc). Our kids also bowl and have their own equipment. We decided to take a trip up to Owasso on a Sunday and check out this alley. It is well lit, clean and modern. However, they have some very silly policies, like only 1 lane if you have less than 6 people in your party. We prefer to get 2 lanes so that we can bowl faster. In my opinion, that frees up lanes faster and we enjoy getting in 2-3 games in the space needed for one game (when rotating multiple players on the same lane) and keeps the kids from getting distracted. The place was practically empty and 2 lanes would have been really appreciated. Also, a really simple question like, "Is the popcorn fresh?" should be easy to answer too, but yet among the 3-4 employees jaw-jacking with each other behind the snack bar, they couldn't come up with a cohesive answer. That's OK though, we don't go bowling for the food, but it is a nice touch when the popcorn is fresh. Prices are in line with other local facilities, but it was kind of amusing to see the young man at the front desk turn his head like a dog being shown a magic trick when we asked if they give USBC discounts. "You know, league" I said. "Oh," he replied. "Yes, but not on Sunday." Have whatever policies you want with your business, but I don't think we'll bother to motor up there again...
Read moreThis place used to be nice. But it has gone down hill the last few years. The computer screen at out lane didn't work, all 4 pair of our shoes looked like they had been worn 1000x. They all had frayed laces, and cracks all over the body of the shoe, I could almost stick my big toe out of the shoe. We ordered a basket of fries. It took over 30 minutes to recieve the fries. They were the biggest disappointment, the basket was only 1/4 full! I could still see the bottom of the basket! I took it back and they refused to fill it up. We paid $5 for that! My kids shared a hand full of fried and then argued because there weren't enough. That was so fun. My little ones needed to use a ramp but the place only has 4 to share between 30 lanes! Also, they only have a few of the lightest balls, if your going to have a program that invites kids into your establishment all summer long then you should have lots of ramps and light weight balls. While playing, the lane broke down. I informed the employees of the problem, they didn't seem to care, it took over 15 min to get that fixed. I asked to be moved lanes they refused, even tho I pointed out a few that weren't being used. I paid over $17 for 4 pair of terrible shoes. Next time we go bowling we will be going to a...
Read moreI’ve held off on posting this review in hopes that things would improve, but unfortunately, the situation has only deteriorated. This is, without question, the most poorly maintained bowling alley I’ve encountered.
The lane equipment is consistently unreliable — racks frequently fail to set pins correctly, drop pins mid-cycle, and experience breakdowns that often force league teams to relocate mid-match. At this point, transitioning to string pins would be a major improvement.
The approaches are in extremely poor condition and pose a serious safety risk — they are easily the worst in the area. Combined with the stifling heat inside the building (often exceeding 110°F), it creates an unsafe and unplayable environment. Lane conditions are equally disappointing: there is virtually no oil applied, even for league play, and the lanes themselves cause excessive damage to equipment, far beyond normal wear and tear.
Frankly, this facility should not be hosting USBC-certified leagues under these conditions. The one redeeming aspect is the Pro Shop, which remains the only reason many serious bowlers still step through the doors.
If you're a competitive or serious bowler, proceed...
