We drove over two hours to get here just to receive attitude and felt like discrimination by their employees.... at first it seems very respectable place, I heard the older woman with the glasses explaining by detail to other families which trees are ready to pick and how much each bag, for the apples, cost and about the tractor giving rides to the designated areas to pick apples Etc... then itâs our turn, her whole demeanor and attitude changed, keeping it short With us was an under statement.... she didnât explain anything about apple picking and the prices on the bags, I didnât ease drop on the previous customer because I was expecting the same treatment and explanations of the rules and regulationS of the picking areas, we ordered more than the previous customers and she had us out the line within 5 min while others she had conversations and explained everything in detail with... we ended picking from the wrong trees because she didnât explain anything to us just gave us a small bag to pick apples with, while others she introduced the different size bags and how many they can purchase and were to pick apples, since some areas were not available at the moment.... then we got to the kitchen to order our food , the Mexican lady in the back , that made our food, brought it out and we said we wanted it to go.... the Mexican lady brining our food out , sucked her teeth and blew her breath when we told her we asked for it to go, to where My wife and I felt we needed to eat at their dining area because of her attitude towards not wanting to package our food to go.... I went on Sunday September 20, 2020.... I got there with my step daughter and wife at about 4:30...
Read moreI went to the apple orchard yesterday. When ordering my donuts and drinks it was not a good experience. First thing first I ordered oddballs and wanted a lb that shown on their menu for 6.00 something. Now I have kids mind you and was also focusing on them to stop touching the toys. She charged me 11.04 for odd balls like wow!! Looking at the receipt now today I couldnât stop thinking I was over charged and I was. Not only that but when they handed me the ice cream and my cold apple cider my drink didnât make it to the table. Instead of the woman walking to the table with the tray she gave it to me over the counter. One small turn and there goes my drink. Did they offer me a replacement no!! Now not only they over charge me for a lb of odd balls but couldnât even replace my drink that never touched my lips. The cashier saw it all.. The crazy part a woman customer who saw it all happened just like other customers. She ended up buying me a replacement when that was thoughtful, but to me wasnât right because they gave the business more money on something they knew they should have replaced. I think next year for the first time I will drive to Edwardâs instead now. Curran was close but for that service I will take my money else where and the donuts are not that good this year either. Something is off in them. Maybe it was just that day with these donuts but to be over charged knowing Iâm keep an eye on my kids is messed up!! Now I have to throw donuts away from this place money...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped by while traveling through the area this past fall and we experienced racial discrimination. The nice man driving the tractor had given me an apple while on the ride. Upon leaving we stopped in the store to shop and buy some treats. The lady at the food counter saw my apple in my hand and rudely started questioning me about where I had gotten it from in a very nasty loud tone. The place was very busy I felt embarrassed and belittled. When I told her where I had gotten it she then preceded to still respond to me as if I were lying and still had more questions. I wasnât hiding my apple, I was quite happy that the gentleman had given it to me, it was in my hand. On this day there were other African Americans there so it seems like a percentage of business revenue comes from other races. In my opinion I wouldnât ever visit this place again I feel like if Iâm not treated equally and respectfully then you canât expect for me to spend money and shop to patronize...
