Big Apple Store — Local services in Oxford

I would give a five star but recently the lines are longer, and that's because there is only one employee working on the busiest shift (2nd) especially on a Friday during race days.It's not fair to the cashier. I feel so bad for them. And the self checkout is a joke... no tobacco, alcohol, lottery, and not even the chicken you can pay for on it. other than that I still come to this store (now that I just wrote all that, I'm questioning my loyalty.lol)because I love how nice and friendly the employees are(Courtney, Matt and Rob) and I am not always in the greatest mood after I get out of work. Very unimpressed the way they staff this big apple. Weekend evening shifts are stuck with just 1 cashier and she/he is ALWAYS stuck to the register with a line looping around the store that never ends. I've hear employees say that its very normal and its that way for hours. They need help to have eyes on all those people to be able to help employees outside the store if needed, watch for thefts and to keep up with the endless demand at the register. The employees do not have time to even use the bathroom. Its irresponsible to expect one human to man one of the busiest gas stations in oxford.

In the morning hours this store is filled with men mostly. I try to avoid this gas station as I find the men that frequent it have zero idea of personal space and take offense if you say anything. The cashiers are no help and accept this behavior as normal. I stopped by this morning 2/22/2021 and turned around into a man standing behind me at the cooler. For those that may find this behavior uncomfortable AVOID this station. Be advised: NO 6 FEET...
