The new owners don’t even follow or know the laws and have a charge against them with Oxford PD that we could bring a claim against for literally robbing us, right before Black Friday. Some stuff had been in this place for over a year, the man made so much money off of our vulnerability that it’s actually unbelievable that he could sit there and act like WE owed him. I paid 10x over just in fees and kept myself trapped in a rut just to make sure I didn’t lose any of my belongings. One of the Nintendo switches he stole was only pawned for thirty days and the state law requires 60, and it wasn’t supposed to matter if it was overdue. He robbed us blind and then threatened us with police and said not to come back literally blocked us from even trying to get any of our stuff back and it was all because he knew it was Black Friday you could practically see the dollar signs in his eyes I have never had a pawn shop do me so dirty and we called the police who looked up the laws as we had to as well because the owner denied any wrongdoing at all wouldn’t even look it up he knew everything like most business owners seem to act lately, and he probably doesn’t even know that yes we were absolutely able to file charges against him but we have to take him to court and who the hell can afford to do that when they’re pawning their assets to survive to begin with. He told us our stuff was safe and I couldn’t pay in time because I was in the hospital. We had just been in 30 days I mean the whole thing is just disgusting. Probably made $10k off us altogether and took it all when we’d just repawned for a much lower amount as was suggested save your stuff and go to Lewiston, do not trust...

As a matter of fact, DON'T PAWN STUFF in general. You're going to lose your a** no matter where you go. It's not a charity. Now, buying stuff? That's a little disappointing- their inventory really reflects how depressed the area is. I'd hit a city Unless you're into buying out-of-work carpenter's tools or dubious antiques, A little more gas money and you can hit Lewiston/Auburn...
Read moreHe will tell you that what you are selling is hardly worth anything on ebay, and if you are gullible like I was, he will pay you $15. for an item and turn around and try to sell it for $95. He will lie about being the person who bought the items from you, and five minutes after you point out his dishonesty will try to guilt you by saying that you agreed the amount. I can work on being less trusting. It would be nice if after today, he would run a more...
