Sunset Point Overlook — Local services in Pacific Grove

This is a fantastic spot in Carmel California. Great views. Great place to stop and relax. Great place to take a date. Conveniently located. The only drawback is that there is a lot of traffic going through there, especially on the weekends. Other than that, you could bring a picnic lunch there and have a snack or a full lunch. , it would probably be a great place to watch the sunset although we weren't there...

This is one possible stop on this exquisite coastal drive which includes the 17 Mile drive. This stop is breathtaking . . .as is each bit of the Pacific coast line. If you are in this area for the first time, you can start on the Monterey Bay road and drive west out of the bay and south to the ocean for the next hour or so along this amazing and beautiful route. Great spot that is somewhat hidden Dallas Mall Road. The views are amazing and panoramic. The only major drawback to this area is that it has a 6-foot chain-link fence around the whole area. A tip is that they have two spotting scopes with two little steps so you can stand on those to take a picture...
