I couldn't do the hike from the visitor center because they accept only cash or check for entrance (which I didn't have on me)- $6. I ended up hiking to SPM from highway 1 (free parking at Grey Whale Cove, they have portable toilets). The hike was absolutely beautiful, I enjoyed the sunshine (not really shaded) and the views. There were quite a few mountain bikers, please share the trails with them. Scenic resting spots are along the way. Have sun protection and plenty of...

Started at Gray Whale Cove trail head for mountain biking the San Pedro Mountain to Old Coma Road Loop trail and I can say that it’s one of the most beautiful trails I’ve been. Sweeping views of the green mountains, beaches and the ocean. MTB trails can be narrow and have sharp turns. Wish there’s more sign on the trail heads so I don’t have to pause and check my phone before proceeding. In any case, this is a great place to ride! Highly...
