While the ordering process was very quick, and the business was very quick to accept money and get an order placed, The quality of the product and the service was not good. I was promised a delivery date on a Thursday. They couldn’t tell me a window, but said that it could be up until dark. No one showed or communicated that they weren’t showing. I sent an email to find out why they didn’t come and was told that they had rescheduled for Saturday then they said no for today, Friday. I figured since they already skipped me on Thursday that I should be receiving the order Early on Friday. The delivery guy came with 10 minutes till dark. I just made it home and he was tossing the bales from the back of the truck. The bales had a bunch of debris in them, looked to be old and crunchy and Not what I was promised. I even went out of my way to ask if the needles were fresh and debris free and I was told yes by the company. I’m not sure what kind of business this is in terms of quality control, but I can get better looking Pine needles at Lowe’s for the same price and their bales are notorious for debris. I would not recommend this company/farm to anyone looking for quality Pine needles. It’s a shame because as a new customer I was looking forward to being a repeat customer. Very disappointing. If 0 stars were possible I’d be giving that.
*REPLY TO RUDE OWNER: (Please note that the owner accepts no responsibility and blames customer) I rarely give reviews unless there is something "the people" need to know. Did "the people" care about the rain? No. How about a business courtesy call either day stating a delay or reschedule? Wait....that's right...you were just no shows. Can you imagine if I prepaid? Whoever the "owner" is that replied to my review should consider that customers come first and by berating them for telling others about their experience that was subpar...they ought to consider the COUNTLESS OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS and perhaps learn something.....having a professional web site does not mean you have professionalism. Not only was I disappointed in the lack of communication, but also the lack of care the driver took in unloading 1/2 the bales. He was tossing them off the back of the truck with a good amount of them spilling all over the place, not even where the note attached to my check indicated. He was throwing them against my garage door and luckily I showed up to refuse delivery when I did or who knows what mess I would have come home to?. What a lack of courtesy and professionalism from this business. The "clean" needles must have been taken from Quail Hollow/Wells Fargo last year. I'm sure Johnny Harris wouldn't have even accepted this crap at the club! If you read your reply Mr. Owner, you state you gave my clean bales to the Championship...how considerate. Perhaps you people like to "switch and bait" considering the emails I received stating the bales were clean. Clean means no debris....no sticks, no large pinecones, no bark, no gravel. These bales had it all so I loaded it back up on the truck and sent it back. They were crunchy and at least a year old.... for me it's not about the money as it was the customer service and quality....perhaps you were willing to drive 3 hours to get rid of your crap since no one else would take it.
No one cares if you think I should stop giving reviews....keep your opinions to yourself as an owner-or hey...wait....REFLECT. There is nothing defamating about telling others about this terrible organization and experience. Don't let the price or fancy web...
Read moreI've ordered from Nicolson Farms twice this year. Both times were awful. I shouldn't have given them a second chance, but I did. I placed my orders online and received confirmation both times. When they send out the order confirmation, they tell you when they will deliver. I received email confirmations both times, and both times NF did not deliver when they said they would (delivery was rescheduled). The second time I ordered from them I even called (at noon) to re-confirm that they would be delivering that day and was told yes, that they would deliver "before dark". By 4:30 they still had not shown up. I tried calling, no answer. When I checked my email, I found a message from them changing the delivery to the following day. They never even asked if that would work for me (which it didn't). They didn't CALL me (which they should have) to let me know that then needed to reschedule. On top of the total disregard of a client's needs and their total lack of communication, they are very unprepared for delivery. On my 1st order, a couple of months ago, they showed up very late (keep in mind, this was after they rescheduled delivery once already). I had ordered mulch, firewood and pine straw. The delivery team showed up with no equipment to unload the truck (such as a wheelbarrow or hand truck). I had to let them borrow my wheelbarrow. Because they came so late in the day I was unable to spread the mulch and pine straw that day. Nicolson Farms caused me much stress, since I was now way behind schedule due to their rescheduling and late delivery. Fast forward to today (Wednesday Oct 23). I had a reason for getting my yard freshened up, and had a very slim window in which to work. I had guests coming in from out of town and the first was arriving on Thursday. I obviously would not be able to spread mulch and pine straw while entertaining guests, so cancelled the order. Too bad for Nicholson Farms, as the order was $300+. I would not recommend ordering from them. I also noticed that for every negative Google review, a positive review is posted right after. Obvi a friend of NF trying to cancel out the negative...
Read moreThis is not an easy a business to work with. They have a good product and very good front line workers, but management is absolutely negligent, I think by design. Ordered 40 pine straw bales online to be spread. Set up for Tuesday 4/13. On 4/10 I received an apologetic email saying they had to reschedule to Thursday 4/15, “no trucks in the area”. So I rescheduled my lawn service to accommodate that. On 4/15 I waited to after 2 pm to ask when pine straw would be here by phone and email and text. At 4:13 pm an email said, “soon”.
5:15 pm no pine straw, 6 pm no pine straw. Could not reach a live person by either of their 2 phone numbers. Also tried text and email again, no reply at all. At 8:35 pm the door bell rings. Our pine straw has arrived in the dark. It's too bad the front line worker had to hear my wrath. They left 40 bundles saying they will return at 7 am the next morning. A 2 man team arrived at 7:55 and satisfactorily completed the spread of pine straw in 25 minutes. 2 very hard working men did a fine job.
I wanted people who consider Nicholson Farms to understand how they conduct business, sadly customer satisfaction or respect for their customers is not part of...
