If you take any paddle boarding tour in Jupiter, or even Palm Beach Country, South Florida Paddle should be the one you go with. We chose to do the Marine Life Tour in search of turtles and manatees, a slightly more advanced paddle. And WOW - Ethan did not disappoint! He knows all the spots. We saw lots of turtles in their serene travels through the Intracoastal and then stopped along the bank of the lighthouse for a water break and to jump in the water. Ethan was watching the water and said, "We gotta go, hurry, hurry!" We quickly jumped back on our boards just in time to catch a family of manatees swimming by. There were eight total and even a baby! We paddled with them for quite some time as they came up for air and at one point even stopped to snack on sea grass. It was one of the most unbelieveable experiences of my life. Absolutely magical! My sister and I are both pretty proficient when it comes to paddle boarding, so this was a great tour for us. Marissa's website and booking system is totally on point, we booked and paid through her website and everything was really easy and convenient. Ethan showed up at the designated launch spot on time and ready to go. He provided perfect direction and took amazing photos. I am a Jupiter local and my sister was in from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I highly recommend South Florida Paddle whether you are on permanent vacation here in Jupiter or just visiting. This is where the real paddle boarding is at, Marissa and Ethan are the...
Read moreWe were a group of 5 people, 3 adults and 2 kids aged 7 and 9, all novices and most of us first-timers. We had an absolutely amazing experience thanks to Marissa, which was surely the highlight of our trip!
It was a very windy day and thanks to Marissa's knowledge not only were we able to go out and enjoy a 2-hour tour, with the area's stunning beauty, the challenge fighting the wind at the beginning of the trip, made it even more satisfying in the end.
The scenery is superb, learning to stand up on and control the boards is an experience and then you top it off with a tremendously knowledgeable guide who is able to discover the local wildlife where the rest of us saw only water. Marissa showed us several types of crabs, including 2 horseshoe crabs matting and hermit crabs.
We were also treated to a manatee and dolphin sighting just feet away from our boards.
Super highly recommended for families with young children in particular as a way to expose them to a side of nature we rarely see to encourage respect, appreciation and care for our...
Read moreThis is a due review. Sorry Marissa because you are amazing! :) We scheduled an Eco-tour with Marissa in March for my husband's birthday. It was fantastic! This was our first time doing so, and it was quite of a cold and windy day for Florida standards. Ironically, I didn't want to touch the water because of the cold, and Marissa was very thorough with her explanation about what we should/shouldn't do, in order to avoid that. And guess what! We did what she said and never fell off the paddle board. On the other hand, she talked about all the beautiful species of animals in the area. We were lucky to see many of them, but I guess some of them were also concern about the cold weather because they didn't show up. Lol! However, we really enjoy every single minute of our tour with Marissa. She is very knowledgeable about what she is doing and knows the area very well. I felt that this wasn't a job for her. She enjoys the trip as much as you do. Thank you Marissa for such...
