So we came across this food truck because it was parked outside of our apartment when we got home and we decided to check out the menu. My husband got the grilled cheese and fries and said it was one of the best grilled cheeses that he's had and rates it better than the grilled cheese from Panera. He said that the fries were like McDonald's fries but less salty. I got the vegan jerk tofu bowl and tortilla chips and salsa and guacamole. The tofu is crispy and flavorful and there is a seasoning on the rice that is delicious and omg the plantains! 😋 He gives you a lot of tortilla chips, two containers of salsa and a big container of guacamole. I would definitely eat from this truck again! The cook was nice and answered my question (the guacamole is in fact vegan 🥑) and he packed the food well and provided napkins and utensils and ketchup for my husband's fries without us having to ask. To order, there are iPads and you can tap to pay. The food was very reasonably priced. If you come across the tropic truck, I def recommend trying it. 😋 P.S. I didn't think to take a photo of the food until we already started eating it but here are photos of our partially eaten food. 🤦🏼‍♀️ But anyway, it's delicious!

I'm a huge fan of small businesses and not here to bash, but my friends and I have been laughing hysterically at the "veggie" items on this menu. Do neither of the chefs know ANYONE who doesn't eat meat? Kudos for attempting to put non meat items on the menu, but it's possible the worst I've ever seen. Of all the PHENOMENAL options for a melt (bbq sauce, plantains/tostones to keep with the carribean theme, grilled onion, etc) it appears on the menu that the veggie melt has broccoli, carrots, and celery? Same with the fries? This sounds truly bizarre, bland, and unappetizing. It's the kind of menu vegetarians and vegans trade stories about in disbelief. Needless to say, after checking out the menu we are opting for a different truck at the event and aren't brave enough to try this terrible sounding epicurean combo. Wishing them the best, but please try not to forget the quarter of the population that stays away from meat. We love good food too! :)

The Tropic Truck is by far one of the best food trucks I have gone to. The customer service is wonderful and the food is incredible. I had gotten the loaded lobster mac and cheese and I would highly recommend it. The lobster was very tender and juicy while the mac and cheese was cooked to perfection. Words can't express how amazing this truck is. Please come and try this food for yourself. You won't regret it!

LONG WAIT!! This is my first review ever because I’m an understanding person, but being invited/hired to an event that lasts 3 and a half hours, why would you ever think it’s okay to let your customers wait more than 30 minutes? Me and my boyfriend waited a 1 and a half hours for 2 lobster rolls and 2 waters (that we didn’t even get).

There were lots of people, and it seems like they were understaffed, and I totally understand that situation. What I don’t understand is how people who ordered after multiple customers got their food before us.

The woman with currently ginger hair gave us a refund, but the woman with glasses was saying our food was already out, and she could give us a refund and throw away the food. Uh, no? I waited the whole event for this food I still want it.

The food is hella good though if they ever come to another event where there’s not a lot of people then I would totally recommend the lobster rolls,...
