As a long time shopper of In Grandmas Attic, I will tell you the highlights of what you'll find, as well as post in reference to Miss Karen Who Posted Below. A Small business for many years backed with heart. A selfless women who tirelessly has out of pocket saved hundreds of cats. Something that takes a village and it's just her. Upon the hidden treasures and fabulous creations of local and non local artisans, you get customer service like no other. You get a human being that actually cares about her customers. As the customer that posted below mentioned how it "used" to be. You mean when her mother was still here on earth lending a hand? You also failed to mention on days she's closed, she's busy moving things around to recreate spaces. You roll up on her, mid project and take phots and insult her verse ask, How Can I Help? You spotlight boxes from Chewy? Let's talk about those. Not only is it a sign that yet another shipment arrived to care for all of the kitties in need, those boxes serve as a moving tool when she's moving one display to another spot in the shops and several rooms. They are also used for many customers who find a ton of treasures, to pack their items safely in and exit with. In all the many small businesses out there, you have a hard working women that never complains when the world kicks her when she's down and all you can think is to post what you posted. You can post it 100 times because every single person that has had the pleasure of doing business with her and what she stands for, knows, hands down she is an angel on earth. Show some grace. Climb off your high horse and do better. So the next time you see her in between projects and things temporarily a disarray, instead of staring into her face and saying you liked it better years ago when her mom was present, ask... Can I Help with anything? Maybe bring a bag of cat food too. ..I hope you have the day you deserve. For everyone else....if you love hard working, small businesses with heart...highly...

In my experience this place is a remarkable, multi-faceted piece of heaven on earth. Patti offers a wide range of country antiques and crafts at great prices. There are bargains and unique treasures to be found here. But what is most inspiring to me is not so much the quality if her stuff, but the divinity of her heart! I have been blessed to witness again and again her unfailing devotion to donating great amounts of time and her own money to rescuing cats from local Amish barns that would otherwise suffer a horrible fate. To my sensibility, when Jesus says - what you do for the least of these you do for me - He is not just talking about people, but all living things in God's Good Creation. I see Patti as answering Jesus' call to help the least of these in the form of these homeless cats, and oh my the passion she has put into answering Jesus' call! You can certainly put blinders on and focus on the smell, and less than perfect creatures running about while you shop - but guess what! I smell and am less than perfect too, so these cats make me feel quite at home. I have experienced other customers, and even the owner of a competing shop criticize Patti for the smell of her cats, and when I hear these cutting remarks and turn to Jesus with questions, I see Him looking towards Patti with love and gratitude for the sacred work she does for the Kingdom of God. Wow what an Amazing find! We were out driving in Lancaster and happened upon this Great shop. Was greeted by a Very Special lady called Patti, she is the owner. She Warmly Greeted us, as we talked and got to know one another I felt as though we are family. As we were leaving to comeback home, she and all her Selfless acts of kindness & humanity kept running through my mind making my leaving Lancaster so difficult.
