Pines Yankee Hardware in Yankee hill/ Concow is the WORST business ever!! RACIST as they come! DO not support them...If I could give ZERO stars I would..and do not get stuck in those mountains with the kind of rude racist people that work and live there...we had to go to this store because there was nothing else around when me and my family had an emergency when we were headed to reno the quincy way!They were rude...and whispered racial slurs to each other they didnt think i heard...along with being the most laziest old men I've ever came across! They shouldn't even work at a hardware store if your too old to even help or lift a finger for your customers! I am samoan but my husband is black along with my children being mixed!I will never return and don't recommend going there unless your WHITE..then maybe they will treat you with...

Although I live very close, I generally try not to shop here because it’s quite expensive, and it only takes me 15 minutes to get to the nearest Home Depot. The Miller family has owned this store for over 40 years. One of the sons, Ralph, has worked here the entire time, while the other son, Steve, took over the store years ago after Mr. Miller’s passing. Mrs. Miller is still alive and remains bright and beautiful. In the past, I didn’t mind spending a good amount of money here to help the Millers keep the store open for the community. However, there is a lot of local drama that has deterred me from shopping here recently. My grandparents moved to this area in 1971, and it feels like the community has changed significantly since then, as many good people have either moved away...

Very polite, courteous and knowledgeable staff even the younger staff had the knowledge needed staff would walk you right to the section you needed and give you precise advice on your situation not just generalized. Being the only hardware store in the area for Miles you would assume the prices to be in the sky I have found the prices quite reasonable considering that my time is worth something and to travel to the super stores and back the time and gas alone doesn't make an even trade and any excuse I have to not have to go down off my mountain the better some people say the price for convenience I say preference and I got the bargain. make it...
