Jim's Supervalu — Local services in Park River

My wife and I spent eight days in Park River and the surrounding area visiting relatives. We shopped daily at Jim's Supervalu to bring food with us to various events (breakfasts, potlucks, 4th of July Celebration, etc.). We found the place well stocked with everything we needed and very helpful employees. We chatted with the owner twice and found him to be a very personable person who had a ready smile. There is plenty of parking in the small lot beside the store and also on the street in front. If you like animals, be warned. Walking in this grocery store is more like walking into a taxidermy shop. It's rather disgusting. There are dead animals all over the store. Like ALOT. Small selection of groceries, high prices, and produce is sometimes iffy. Their meat department is hit or miss. Sometimes, they have NO chicken, beef, or pork.
