Hi, I was driving by the facility and there is no sign or phone number posted, and I am looking for a great facility close to home. This looks great so I pulled in driveway and because gate was locked, I walked up to ask because I am thinking if it is a place of business they wouldn’t mind since I was a valid potential customer. I was extremely wrong. Evidently they are not interested in expanding business. I answered door and a nice guy told me the website to look up and I said thank you and was making my way back to my truck at the gate when a woman stopped me. She was totally offended that I was interested and accused me of hitting the fence. I told her I just pulled to side so I didn’t block the entrance. She insisted It look like I hit her fence. I explained I was just making inquiry of the boarding facility but I would be happy to wait while she come inspect her fence that way she could see that there was at least 6 feet between my bumper and her fence. She and the guy I originally spoke to walked out to look ant fence. Although It was evident I was no where near the fence, she still was hostile, and could not believe that I would be interested in boarding facility. I really hate she has such a problem as I truly was a genuinely a potential client that could afford boarding. Their loss not mine. I feel bad for the nice guy if the rude lady...
Read moreAs an owner of a small business myself - I have to say I sought out a small business to board my horse & for lessons for my 2 young daughters so we would get the individualized attention & care we wanted. I absolutely love working with Kristen, the owner of Blackstone equestrian. She is very involved , excellent communicator, easy to get a hold of quickly, and pays very close attention to all the horses health on site. Kristen is quick to resolve any unforeseen issues conflicts or concerns. She is honest, kind but also no-nonsense. To be a part of her team, is an honor & she expects the best from her team members. She won’t tolerate mean girl behavior. Her integrity and values are evident in everything she does & she knows everyone’s name. Working with this small family owned business has been wonderful. Safety is extremely important to her & she has strict rules to keep children, adults and the horses safe. I trust my 2 daughters are safe when they are at her barn no matter what time of day or night! My girls have been taking lessons from her for over 2 years and they respect her rules and love going out to the barn. Our horse is extremely well-cared for & she even schedules all vet visits and then lets us know. I highly recommend...
Read moreAbsolutely one of my favorite places to board my horse and ride. The care is fantastic. I could actually leave town and not worry if my horse was being cared for or if he were to need medical attention. Kristen truly cares for every horse there like her own. I have often seen her walking the barns in the evening, checking to see if the horses are well, and eating and drinking. She pays attention to each horse’s habits so she knows if something is amiss. I’ve never had an issue with lacking hay or grain. Brittany, is an excellent trainer and has a great manner with the young riders and focuses on not only their riding skills and horsemanship but their sportsmanship as...
