Jay has installed several remote start / alarms over the years. He communicates and treats all his customers with respect and dignity. His pricing is extremely reasonable. The placement of the system (brain), the antenna, is almost like you can’t even tell it’s there. His work is impeccable.
In my wife’s Jeep, he installed a T12 Pro in 2020 and his work was really impressive and was done in under 2 hours. Yes. I did shop around. But after speaking with him, I selected Jay to do the work.
He handles everything from ordering all the correct parts, installation, teaches you all the features of your new device, and makes sure you are 100% satisfied with everything.
I was looking for a Compustar T13 pro to installed in my Jeep. Best remote start / alarm system on the market. I did add the drone mobile LTE module as well so I could use my phone to remote start the vehicle. Yes, it may be a little on the expensive side, but I guarantee you it’s the BEST system on the market. The range on the main remote is absolutely crazy. If you do choose the Drone LTE module option, pricing is extremely reasonable. $300 for 3 years of service
To be transparent, the Jeep already had factory remote start, but the remote is only 1 way, with an extremely low range. I couldn’t even start my jeep from my apartment 500ft from where it was parked. The Jeep would only run for 10 minutes. Some days, you need 20 minutes to get the car warm on those cold days. But you need to run it a third time in a row? Nope. Jeep won’t allow that. You also cannot adjust how long the remote start runs for.
The app Jeep provides for mobile functionality is handled via SiriusXM Guardian. The app is extremely slow. It would take a literal minute for the car to actually start. Yes, the service is free for new vehicles, but when it’s time to renew to maintain all the functions, it’s $300 per year.
If you’re looking for remote start / alarm systems for your vehicle. Please don’t go to Best Buy, and avoid Car Toys at all costs. When pricing out the system, Best Buy wanted $1400 total to have shoddy work done. Car Toys, almost wanted over $1800, and their work isn’t great either. Both places had a red light warranty on their work. As your car drives away, and if there is a problem, too bad. You get charged even more if it’s not done right.
Jay will treat you right, give you the right recommendations, and not gouge you left and right. Jays pricing is extremely reasonable, and the end result is a clean install. His warranty is really unbeatable. The T13 itself has an unbeatable warranty to start with, but Jays work is warrantied for the lifetime that you own the vehicle.
The clear winner here is quite obvious. Support small business. He works hard, does amazing work, and treats you right.

Read moreThis is an updated review after 2 years of dealing with a messed up system and 2 batteries later. There may only be a couple of 1 Star reviews and that's why I chose to use them in the first place. Hopefully the following experience won't happen to you. I hate to leave negative reviews especially for a small business but after being hung up on... This is what happens.
BUYER BEWARE! After the initial install of my 10" amp system, my battery was being sucked dry and eventually failed. Extra $190 expense. When the second battery started to need a few jump starts. I called to explain the issue but I was told that the thumping sounds I heard (even when the car was completely off) were normal. He offered to charge another $100 for an additional part to solve the thumping but that otherwise the system was fine. After, disconnecting the system from the battery, I didn't need to jump starts my car battery as often even though it is already compromised. I final went to CarToys and once I mentioned the thumping, the tech there knew exactly what to do. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it in 1 hour. (An additional $160 expense) I haven't heard the thumping since with the car on or off. The problem was in the installation of the original system. After calling Jay to inform him it's there was something we could compromise on after my additional $350 expense he hung up on me. Then a few texts came stating how I should've taken the car back to him etc. I didn't do that after our conversation because he obviously didn't know how to install it the first time. Just beware. This business may not know how to install things and then it will cost you...
Read moreI have always gone to big chains because I thought they were the best but I was EXTREMELY wrong.
First things first when I requested a quote for a sub/amp install Jay called and text me immediately. He provided a straight forward quote and gave options for cheaper or more expensive installs. He was not pushy at all and even advised me to look around but let me know not only are his prices better than most but the quality of work Is far superior. I did look around and his prices are better! He made me immediately feel comfortable and I knew I wanted him to perform the work.
Day of the install I dropped my car off and he greeted me and was extremely nice and welcoming. We talked about the install, velcroing the box, where to install the dial, how long it would take and future possibilities. He then offered a ride to my house since I lived about 4 miles away which just shows the personal aspect. The work was completed in the EXACT time frame he stated.
The work is FLAWLESS. I wanted it to look very stock and he made it look perfect. The wires are tucked away and are very clean to the amp. The dial is placed perfectly below my steering wheel and more importantly it sounds PHENOMINAL!
I would recommend his work to ANYONE because he has the knowledge, skills but most importantly he really cares about the quality of work and makes sure you get exactly what you ask for and more.
I can’t thank him enough and look forward to my next...
