Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital — Local services in Parsippany-Troy Hills

I appreciate the effort but the phone call I just had with this business was EXTREMELY out of line. I was simply inquiring about internship positions available for high school students, and the operator listed out about 10 full time positions (counselors, etc) that required extensive schooling and training. When I asked again if they had any entry level positions for interns with no experience, I was told several times (quite aggressively) that I was not listening. When trying to calmly clarify my question despite the wildly unnecessary attitude, I believe his words were “I will not answer that question, I just told you the positions, and you obviously were not listening to me. It is so obvious. Just tell me your qualifications.” No matter how many times I tried to politely tell him I was asking about an unpaid entry level internship and not full time careers; the operator was extremely rude. I had to hang up at one point because I was told that I was wasting his time and he was “ignoring phone calls to help me and I was not listening to him.” I believe a simple “no we do not have any internship positions currently,” would have sufficed. He was the one who was misunderstanding me, and instead of owning up to that or listening to my clarifications, he decided to fight with me. This was my first experience with this facility and I did not feel that the communication was respectful or even baseline polite. Regardless of whether he understood my question or not, I do not believe any professional should speak this way; throwing around accusations, saying someone is wasting their time, and raising their voice without any good reason, especially when that person is looking to join their team. Do not send your loved one here unless you want them abused, or dead. This place is like something out of the movies, unbelievable and inhumane treatment of both patients and families. I've never had to take legal action against a treatment "center." It's not TREATMENT, my dad calls everyday allegedly being abused, mistreated and "THEY WILL NOT LET ME LEAVE! HELP ME! PLEASE, CALL THE COPS! Which I did, twice! He's been there for almost 9 months? HE'S GOTTEN WORSE, AND WORSE, the social worker yells at you, doesn't let you talk nor care what you want to convey. This is the most disturbing, illegally run facility I've ever, ever seen in my entire life. I also had an employee tell me "this place is FRAUD." They wanted to be anonymous until I contact the courts. Never send yourself or a loved one to Greystone unless you love to be abused, mistreated, and held against your will. This hospital is a state hospital with good doctors, a few good therapists and aide's that are inept at being mental health professionals. They seem lack luster when it comes to caring about patients. I truly believe they are there for the pay check and the benefits. There are predators in Greystone that go after the vulnerable and strike in the areas where there are no cameras. There are aids there that believe women are "dirty' and will convince them to shower more than necessary. The african mind set around women creates a shameful atmoshpher. The aides that work the nights. There are people with M.I. and developmental disabilities that are with regular population - they outburst and are violent. They feel misunderstood. There are predators in Greystone. They are still abusing people behind locked doors and away from cameras. And, who will believe the mentally ill.??? Drugged up...
