Myself, my wife (Nella), sister (Marilyn), and my brother-in-law (Steve) arrived at the restaurant just before 7:00pm on Thursday Nov. 16 and was promptly seated. We made our drink order and proceeded to the buffet bar. We fixed our plates and returned to our table only to find the food was cold. Nella and Marilyn told our waitress and the cook staff about the cold food. The waitress apologized and said she would let them know. There was 5 items missing from the bar that was listed on the menu, but no substitutions made. Hot fish was brought out to the bar so we ate anyway. When we went to pay our check, my wife was talking to the older man that seated us and told him of the situation he didn’t seem to be too concerned. He stated if they had been more busy. The food would have been hotter, so that is not a very good excuse. No discount was offered for the missing items, or for the fact that the food was not cold and presented the way it should have been. We don’t plan on going back. Also, as a sidenote, I made a review on Facebook. They immediately deleted it and blocked me from the Facebook page because I gave them a...
Read moreThe waitress Angela was amazing! She helped her customers, other customers that she didn't have but it didn't matter to her! She helped in the back and out front. Amazing woman!! That's the reason they are getting a 3 star bc other than her I was very unsatisfied. The cost is very high with little or no choices in food. The buffet was always lacking in items that were supposed to be out. Placement of the buffet is bad, and there's no room to move. It's very hot inside. There is always a wait to be seated. The placement of tables and chairs makes it so that you are either crowded with other guests or you must wait even longer to even be seating! The room where larger groups can sit is horrible. There is no room to move in there. Last time I went we paid well over $100 for our family to eat the seafood buffet and it was pidly at best. Plus the cost of drinks want included! Sweet tea is $2! Definitely not worth my money for a small town restaurant, and the cost of the regular menu wasn't any better...it might have been worse! I won't go back unless Angela is our server and the food costs...
Read moreI come from the greatest food city on Earth, Chicago, IL! So, you can imagine that I have severe bias when it comes to rating a place in any other town. But... tucked away in the rolling hills of western middle Tennessee lies a place called Cowboy Steakhouse on the outskirts of the sprawling metropolis of Decaturville. This unassuming spot, in its barn type building, has a downhome look to it, you feel comfortable walking into the joint and when you are inside you are made to feel like part of the family. The decor is mid-century plain with concrete floors and non descript everything. The food is always solid and a great value for money. Steaks are consistently prepared the way I like them and full of flavor. I have been throughout most of the civilized world, dined at the best restaurants with incredible atmosphere and professional wait staff, but I've never felt as invited, appreciated, satiated, well taken care of and satisfied as I do each time I leave this little slice of Redneck Heaven...and speaking of slices, the baked good are absolutely...
