Paulding Exempted Village Schools — Local services in Paulding

I am here for my daughter's wrestling tournament and I could not believe the amount of adults standing outside the school doors smoking, exposing other peoples kids and adults who have asthma and other problems to the smoke. So many people smoking outside that when you walked through the double doors in the front it smelled like cigarette smoke. I thought there is supposed to be no smoking on school grounds. Not to mention they even have a thing to put the cigarette butts in right outside the doors. I am a appalled!! I will be calling this school tomorrow to make a complaint!! I said something to the police officer in the school and I was informed by him that the school administrator allows smoking outside the door as long as it's not marijuana. So what I'm hearing is, it's ok to expose second hand smoke to kids(including mine who has asthma)and other adults with asthma at a CHILDREN'S SPORTING EVENT !? This school is ridiculous !!!!! We should be teaching our kids to stay away from NOT JUST marijuana and alcohol but cigarettes as well, seeming how even second hand smoke can kill you!!!! KIDS ARE...

I wish good education was provided here but instead it’s the teacher welcoming the class by telling them to be quiet and pay attention to the youtube videos on the smart board followed with a quiz while the teacher sits without having to explain a thing. Instead it’s girls getting dress coded constantly because they feel confident for once at a place with kids just like them, let me say that again, kids. Kids should not be pulled out of class, pausing their limited class time to change their clothing in the restroom at school with the excuse that it’s distracting.
