Fairgrounds were great! Circus that was held was great for the most part! Elegant handlers, and trainer were so very rude! Pay $18 per child to ride an elephant, I your 20 month Olds first time, you would like to get a memory shot out of it. She was in the front by the bar and couldnt see her face. They went around 4 trash cans twice and when it was time to get off, I asked the handler to pause for a moment so I could get a pic, he stood right in front of her, ripping her from her sisters arms. He said we are for rides not pictures, you had 2 times around to get pictures. I was pretty upset. One of the clowns came over to me asked if I was ok, I explained...he tried to help by getting us to take photos by the elephants when trainer pulled them off center stage. Trainer was mad... said handlers are there for rides not pictures and we do not do pictures either. The clown was so sorry. Both of the clowns were very nice....so was everyone else. Other than that and the tickets not being price they were supposed to be....then having to pay extra for parking lol the show was great....just animal keepers and trainers were so very rude. Will not...

The Osage Nation just had a very special event which we held at the Osage County Fairgrounds in the AG building. Our schools were picked by NASA to participate in a televised question and answer session with NASA astronaut Nicole Mann. It was a very special day for me also because I was in charge of engineering the private high speed internet link to the AG building since the fairgrounds didn't have a sufficient internet connection to support the event. The fairground's staff was extremely accommodating, they allowed us to mount a permanent wireless dish to one of their buildings almost a month in advance so we could run tests over the link prior to the day of the event. Anything we needed, they helped us with. Electricity, chairs and tables, a clean building, and access to the facility during odd hours for setup. I can't say enough good things about the staff of the fairgrounds. They were great. Oh by the way, I hear they have a...

First time at Cavalcade, but had a blast! Parking was ok, especially since there were several thousand people there. Food options weren't too bad, and lots of vendors booths and things to do if the kids didn't want to sit and just watch the events. We'll...

WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD | The annual Week of the Young Child kicked off yesterday with children from throughout the area coming together for an educational and fun day at the Osage County Fairgrounds. Following a prayer by Noah Shadlow, the program began with Cheyenne Gagner, who wowed the crowd by singing hymns and other songs in both Cherokee and English. Information booths lined the walls as Osage Nation staff members led interactive games and passed out t-shirts and swag. Face painting was a hit along with balloon animals, and sweets. Outside, kids bounced in inflatables, rode a miniature train, and pet bunnies, a donkey, and other animals in the petting zoo. Staff members, teachers, and volunteers did a great job organizing the event! Volunteers are still needed for today on Day 2 of the event. The Week of the Young Child brings public attention to the needs of young children and their families and recognizes the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
