Dreher Island — Local services in Peak

My favorite place to go and launch the Kayaks🛶 and spend the day fishing, sunning 🏖and swimming 🏊‍♀️and then ending the night with a BBQ at their wonderful facilities Lakeside pavilion. They even have electrical outlets at the Pavilion and it's only $2 to get in for the day you can't beat it. Our friends camped🏕 for few days over the 4th of July and said it was wonderful. We hung out with them on the 4th and they had a beautiful Lakeside spot it was great. When we go and spend the day we're not camping we're just picnicking using the barbecue and kayaking and the only downside is that the bathrooms🚻are locked! I heard they are only unlocked if you rent💰The Pavilion which is ridiculous because they're all available when we go. PLEASE unlock your bathrooms - that is our only complaint otherwise the Park...

Wonderful camping week at Dreher Island! We have passed this park on the interstate countless times and never knew what an amazing place it was! We camped for Spring Break and were very impressed with the park and the staff. They were incredibly helpful after a few resheduling issues on our end, and quickly got us set up on a beautiful waterfront spot. We loved seeing and hearing all of the wildlife- the most birds I have ever seen at a campground! Also, our boys loved taking advantage of the Tackle Loaner Program since we forgot to pack our rods! South Carolina knows how to do state park camping right. Dreher Island is beautiful, clean, well maintained, and most sites are a comfortable distance apart.
