Winnebago County Fairgrounds — Local services in Pecatonica Township

The campground was adequate. They indicated that they had full hookups, which they did but there was some confusion about us using them. We were there Friday - Friday. We had full hookups Friday - Tuesday then we had to move to the electric and water only because some group was coming in, however no one from the group arrived until Thursday. (however I'm guessing the management didn't know that would happen) They allowed us to get mail which was really helpful. And the grounds especially near the full hookups were nice. It was quiet. The main real drawback was the mosquitoes. They were so bad, we only went outside to walk the dogs. We preferred to be able to spend more time outdoors, to grill, take walks and maybe kayak or paddle board on the river. Mosquitoes were horrible. Verizon coverage was great. If there was wifi it wasn't available. There were showers available and it was pretty empty. Check the schedule events may change the amount of...

One of the best local fairs around!! This was our first time back here since before the pandemic... The Pec Community knows how to organize a fair from the looks of it. From the moment you walk in, there are food and desert options that you would never get or rarely see at any of the other fairs... As you continue, you have the commercial building filled with anything from crafts, ice cream, vendors, and even the pageant was going on while we were there. Those are really just to start the fair...otherwise, as you walk...you also have the livestock tents, a fairway with more rides than your kids will know what to go on, and best of all...The GrandStands where the Truck/Tractor pulls were going on. Absolutely...

I've been to many county fairs and really enjoy them..................until now. This fair was the worst! Parking was a nightmare, the line just to get in was hell, and it was poorly laid out. My fiancée was waiting in line for food when a "Georges fun foods" employee cut everyone else off to get his own dinner. He was rude to the point of verbally abusive to her. Please, please stay away! Spend your hard earned money taking your family somewhere you will be treated with respect because it sure isn't here. I live in this county...
