Dollar General — Local services in Pegram

Dollar General. This is a typical Dollar General Store. Employees are usually friendly, and helpful. However, in my opinion Dollar stores are never, ever, what the name implies. With that being said, you can make your own assumptions, because I have and do. Now, in their defense, although I would rather go to another store, to get more value for my money. When there's no other place close by... Say within 10 or 15 miles. I will make the occasional stop at the Dollar General Store, and give them my hard - earned cash, because it's more convenient. I'm going to give them four stars, simply because employees are generally friendly and helpful. When it comes to Dollar General stores in general, "PUN intended", I give them three stars. Employee turnover is quite frequent. I could speculate more, on that subject, but that's what it would be.... Speculation, or hearsay. SORRY CAL TURNER & JR. ....Still love Green Pastures however....

Mgr at KS location is a great guy, friendly, goes out of his way to help and the others I've personally dealt with are the same. They can't keep help it seems, which is a shame and most likely why my usual items are not on the shelves consistently, but they can only do so much and help customers too. Fortunately, that seems to be improving of late. The current workers are doing their best from what I can see, and are friendly & accommodating. Keep it up guys. Maybe some more good workers will be available...

Closing at 7pm on a Monday, because they only have two people working!?! Shorthanded doesn't mean close up and go home early? Not any job I've worked. Especially when they have self checkout! Only need one person to operate the store. Usually that's all they have... now having two people on shift, they can't get the job done of watching someone shop... crazy...
