Southern Tire Mart at Pilot — Local services in Pendleton

We are on a 5th wheel trip from Nashville to Western CO. We pulled in at Flying J to fuel up the truck and took a walk around the trailer to check all the tires as I do at every stop. To my surprise the rear driver 3rd axle on the trailer was showing the steel belts on the inside of the tire. This was not good as we still had 800 miles to go today. We called the guys at Southern Tire Mart and asked if they had a tire to fit the trailer and they did! Not only that they said they could get us in shortly to replace it and get us back on the road.

When they went to pull the tire from the trailer they found the issue, the rear spring hanger on the passenger side was missing the bolt causing the axle to not be square to the trailer and the tire to rub.

They went above and beyond to not only fox the issue but spent several hours trying to source the correct bolt for us and even went and picked it up! Once they got the spring back in place and the tire back on the trailer is driving so much better!

I can’t say enough good things about the team at this store. They didn’t have to spend the time they did sourcing that part and making sure we got back on the road just as quickly as we could but also safely. If I could give 0 stars I would. They argued with me the customer and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. They tried to tell me since my alternator was bad that I had to replace all 4 batteries also, because once a battery is dead it won't recharge. After telling them to replace the alternator and just charge the batteries the manager became very argumentative saying they would replace the alternator and just roll it into the parking lot. We do a lot of business with Southern Tire Mart, and I have never been argued with or treated like this location has done to me. I will not go back to this shop, and I suggest you know exactly what you need done before anyone goes in here. Stopped by a few weeks ago in got a PM done by Josh and the new guy that he was training on 2nd shift and they did a great job. After I left I had applied for the Southern Tire Mart card, where I can now use at this location. Do to the services I will need. Yesterday I came back and got right in and Josh yet again proved he's the guy to get things done. He fixed a busted front-drive inside axle seal, replaced 4 batteries and the new guy fixed my trailer tire. I will continue to use their services when I'm in MO.
