If I could give a ZERO star rating I would! I work at Love's Travel Stop #727 in Big Cabin, OK.. On Monday, May 15, 2023 at a little after 2pm I walked out of work to head home and to my dismay, discovered my car gone. I went back inside to ask my manager if I could check the cameras.. come to find out, my car had been towed! Why, you ask? I asked myself the same thing seeing as how I own my car outright and had not called them myself! Come to find out there was a customer who HAD called to get the Silver Dodge Journey w KANSAS tags towed off our parking lot but instead of towing the one that they were actually consulted about, they decided to INSTEAD tow MY Silver Dodge Journey w OKLAHOMA plates.. they did NOT check to make sure they were taking the correct car, the person responsible never even made contact w an employee and/or the manager to inquire as to whether we knew which one should be towed.. it's been 5 days and the bare minimum was done to make it right. Never received an apology for the incident or been reassured that nothing like this would happen to me or anyone else again. Nothing. It's a very disturbing way for them to business. I was in a bad spot last night and desperately needed a tow. Tossed my fishing pole in for a couple of cast before dark and the car would not start. I tried to use State Farm roadside service, but they were useless. I called the Shop on 28 around 10:30pm. I had been stranded for a couple of hours in a thunderstorm at this point. The dispatcher on call was very friendly and seemed genuinely concerned with my situation. She even offered to pick me up and drop me off at my house. I declined because it would not be safe for a lady to pick up a stranger in the middle of the country! Keep yourself safe! I left my keys in the vehicle and got a ride home from some family members. The tow truck driver picked my car up and dropped off the vehicle at house around 11:45pm. He was very friendly and professional. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to leave one for them. Used the towing services of the Shop on 28 today, as the original tow driver refused a roadside assistance call because he "doesn't come to Grove unless it costs, at least, $200". So, on a second attempt, a driver from Shop on 28, Michael R. (can't spell his last name), arrived in a timely manner, kept me notified every step of the way, was kind and answered questions, and informative. He did the work quickly and efficiently, and was a Godsend for a guy who was standing in the cold after his car broke down. Can't say how appreciative I am for Michael and the work he did, even with what I assume was already a full day's work ahead of him.
